Wow. Hugen FNM fan since 87, but never heard this before. That first unrecorded track is pretty damn amazing, yet strangely familiar. Goes to show how increda they were that they could just throw away a track that good.

That song was recorded it's called the cowboy song. It's on one of their greatest hits and it's an amazing song great solo by Jim Martin.

It's messed up how Jim Martin turned the band onto Mike and then Jim basically got fired by Mike like 5 years later lol. Still love ya, Mike lol
@pat140325 күн бұрын
Yeah I always thought about that too. It seems like the rest of the band had issues with Jim too but have been curious about the details of that whole situation

Por que the cowboy song nunca ha sido tocada en vivo? alguien sabe?
@fakefluorescent4526 Жыл бұрын
Supongo que por ser un lado B, igual que Sweet emotion
@alejleal Жыл бұрын
Es una injusticia lo que paso con esta canción por que debio convertirse epica. Todos los fanaticoas de FNM soñamos con escuchar esta canción en vivo. Saludos.

@@fakefluorescent4526Mmmm pero por ejemplo, Absolute Zero si llegó a ser tocada en vivo y también fue un lado B :/

The baffling thing about this and quite a lot of the Real Thing is that he'd already recorded better vocal performances with Mr Bungle! It's like he forgot how to sing for a year and just had places where it came back. Major label nerves?

sounds like he couldn't hear himself. (they were a very loud band)

Obviously they are still in the writing process here, so not a lot of confidence or practice yet.
@alltheserobotsshallfall2 ай бұрын
he said in interviews that he had to keep a certain style, more contained, in mr bungle was VERY free, he was also the new guy so the band had him under "control". he picked what he was right for fnm
@richardtorres3688Ай бұрын
I figure he was trying to keep in line with Chuck's delivery on the real thing. Kiedis said he was copying him, but Keidis was copying chuck, so bollocks to him

he came up with all the lyrics (and vocal lines) for TRT in one week, he probably put this demo together in a couple of days. now you go and try to do that.
