Abraham had waited years for a son, but then God said, “Offer Isaac to Me as a sacrifice.” What? But God was testing him-and he passed the test. When God asks us to do what makes no sense, we can reason, like Abraham did, “God promised me good, so I know that He will make this work. He will never fail in His promise to me.” Let’s glorify God with our faith, believing that He will bring us through.

Yes! This is so true...the temporary highs of music 🎶 are in the moment, yet the grounding of God's Word keeps us rooted. When I lost my job 1 1/2 yrs ago, it was that strength in Christ that got me through, day by day, with no uneasiness or low times. Ten months later HE brot me to a new place, and Isaiah 43:19 rang true (read the day I was walked out - after I got home - "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert". Wow! My ❤ rejoiced in God my Saviour! I can truly attest to that peace that passes all understanding. 😊

My husband went to be with Jesus on February 27 just two months ago. Because I know where he is I wake up every morning with the thought that’s on a sign in my bathroom. “Begin each day with a grateful heart.” It totally changes my perspective and the atmosphere in my home when I do that. Thank you, Pastor Cymbala, for your devotional that’s been a part of our mornings nearly since you started. I continued it after my husband’s passing and it’s such a comfort.
