n REVELATION Arnel's voice is not imitating STEVE PERRY, it is his real voice, and his voice crosses to the sound of Bon, Bryan, Axle, Sting, Led, Beattles, Air Supply and other singers. He just sung their songs in its original recorded key, it's the reason why it seems to be that he's the original singer. No other professional singer can do like he does, this is also the reason why Arnel's getting fans. He has a good memory of tunes the way it's recorded. He's one of a kind

listen to "FAITH IN THE HEARTLAND" and you'll find what you're looking for Arnel's voice, buy the Revelation and you'll appreciate JOURNEY'S music again. JOURNEYS' FANS are for Journey and not limited to whoever frontman, a singer of preference maybe. but not to the point of JOURNEY is not JOURNEY without STEVE. They are continuing their music legacy and the UPS n' DOWNS are just good part of that Legacy, the haters, detractors and the hardcore fan of JOURNEY adds up like flavors of this legacy

ok no problem. to those who are still living in the past and couldnt move on, then dont watch ANY journey videos with AP as the front man. watching these videos means, somehow you must have heard of AP somewhere and you keep on coming back i dunno.. get those old DVDs of journey (with steve) and watch those at home. steve is great and already one of the rock legends.. but he could NOT sing his OWN notes/pitch anymore. AP is just here to fill in the gap.

Weird saw Journey in the 80's about 83-84 when Perry was fronting the band at SPAC. The new guy is good, but I still have Perry stuck in my head after all these years. Best concert I ever saw hands down. I'm not criticizing the new guy. I can pick up difference. Nice post.

Perry was indeed Portuguese. And one of the best vocalists I've ever heard in any genre of music. Enough said. However, it's sad to see Journey without him and vias versa. They were all at their best when together.

Then what are you doing here watching a video of Journey in concert? Besides, if you read the interview with Herbie Herbert he tells the real story.Steve Perry thought he was above the band. This proves he is not, and never really was. Arnel would sing circles around Steve Perry now anyways.

Hey. Stop all the hatin' ! Arnel can sing like a mother! Augeri could sing like a mother too! However, neither of them could sing as well as Perry in his prime. Moreover, Perry was an AWESOME songwriter too--Arnel and Augeri were not !

I am glad he is not Steve Perry. I 'd really be pissed if he was. He is a ton better than SP. Not an egotist like he was. Steve can't jump, croons like a girl. Arnel is a rocker that can sing ballads with a lot of soul. He makes the band look young too with his energy and intense performance.
