Faithfully - Steve Perry - Journey cover - Sara Loera - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
"Faithfully" has been called the greatest power ballad ever recorded and though it doesn't actually contain a chorus, it remains one of Journey's most well known songs.
Written by keyboard player Jonathan Cain, the song's inception began with an idea written on a napkin on the band's tour bus and was completed the following day in just 30 minutes.
The melody itself Cain has said came to him in a dream and the lyrics tell of the difficulties of being both a married man and a touring musician.
The song was the second single from the album Frontiers and went on to peak at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band's second consecutive top 20 hit from the album.
When the band was touring for the album, Bryan Adams was their opening act and during that time he wrote the song "Heaven" which he has said was heavily influenced by "Faithfully".

Honestly, her voice is outstanding. Amazing texture in her delivery gives the exact mood of the song. Truth is though there are many great singers out there left mostly unknown to the world. There's a big difference in being an amazing vocalist and being a iconic singing performer. Some of it takes luck with a combination of persistence along with having the full idea of what you want to share about yourself creatively, on stage, to the public. In addition, you need good management, stage presence, and the ability to find or write "original" material that catches the ears of the masses. No easy task. I have spent two decades plus doing concert promoting, music publicity, and some artist development. I found a ton of very excellent singers but not many true vocal artists. They are very rare. Does Sara have that desire to develop beyond an amazing vocalist to an amazing, hard working solo artist? Only she knows. But if I was doing what I was doing back in the day and heard a Sara Loera I sure would be pursuing finding out. So having said all that maybe someday soon we will hear her performing some originals.

Your very welcome Ken.. I'm sure that as you work with Sara, she must be a Delightful Gift to grace your efforts with her. In my opinion, with your help Sara is certainly a gift in life and I'm sure that is a two way street - you were there as the one to guide her and I can only imagine the thrill of achievement for each of you, you were there at the right time in life and it appears Sara came along at the perfect time. In my opinion you were ment to be her instructor, and Sara the student.. and the product of absolute perfecion was born.. Thank you for being there at her time of need and we all get to enjoy and witnesses a Beautiful outcome for your great efforts and to see and here Sara's achievement's,, she is certainly a gift to the World. I have listened to her as I work and her emotion in every aspect gets me thru the day,, I've heard all kinds of female talent and my opinion of Sara is that she has it all.. Natural body language, coupled with the most amazing God gifted Voice I have ever heard in my 75 years of life.. I see & hear her the most gracious voice and person of all time.
