But Moses had nothing to do with them…and they weren’t built by slave labor. Plenty of documentation on that. And yes, I’ve seen oxygen. Oxygen can exist as a solid. Maybe you should read a book or two in whatever your first language is.

@@charlesmuthama2455 Because there is credible evidence for the pharaohs of Egypt but nothing for Moses. The Exodus with Moses as hero is a creation myth for Israel…no archeological evidence has been found to verify the story or to make it somewhat plausible. Believe what you like…I can’t say you’re wrong. But I can’t make it true for me.

One of the brilliant aspects of this movie, that I do not see being praised, is the lack of camera theatrics. -- The camera angles are not constantly changing. -- The cameras are not constantly zooming in and out. -- The cameras are not shaking, for effect. The writers, director, and actors pulled of these magnificent scenes with their incredible talent, and not with camera theatrics. So it comes across convincingly real. We get a view as if we are in the room with them Also, no one is acting the fool, or vying for attention, or vying for the spotlight. Everyone kept to their roles, and did their job. No over-acting. Not even a hint of it. Each scene was about you being there, and never was attention brought to people behind the cameras. The focus was always on the realism of each scene. In most of today's films, the camera work pulls every stunt in the book. Rarely do we see the camera just sit still for any length of time, giving us time to soak in a scene.

@0:07 -- Notice the complete lack of respect that the Egyptian ruling class had for the Hebrews. No knock on the door. Just walk in. No "Hello", or "I hope I am not interrupting anything", etc. They treated the Hebrews as cattle, or worse. The "no knock" moment was a nice touch in this amazing film of countless nice touches.

One of the facts that this movie gets wrong is that the Tribe of Levi was not enslaved even if the other sons and grandsons of Jacob were enslaved. One of the reasons for the low population count in the Book of Numbers for the Levites is because of the blessing of multiple births was only upon the Israelite tribes who were in bitter bondage under the Egyptian lash.

This is so untrue regarding the character of Moses' real mother and of Moses. As a serious and devoted worshipper of God she would not have felt her heritage was a miserable one, for her or for Moses. The writers should have had her reason for saying she would not reveal the truth to Moses to be that she will not interfere with what God has in store for him, whatever that may be. During the time she nursed Moses she still would have done her duty and taught Moses about the God she worshipped. This film treats him as if he never was taught about God at all and that his kind treatment of the Israelite slaves was from his inward goodness when it was the result of his real mother teaching him about God and how he expects people to act towards others. His real mother likely would have heard of his kind treatment of the slaves and would have never spoken to him, as she did here, as if she thought he could believe it was right to be abusive to the slaves.

How long do you think a child is nursed for? Approximately two years at most. The only religion Moses knew and followed was that of the Egyptian gods because it was what he knew/ was taught by his adoptive family. His treatment of the Hebrews was different than Rameses because Bithia taught him differently
