What a guy. Saw Faithless at Wembley in about 2008 and it was incredible. A few years later he sat across the aisle from me on a flight home from Ibiza. He had a bad cold but was really chatty. Went home feeling chuffed that i'd gotten to speak to him for a short time. Came down with his cold a day later, the bastard. RIP Maxi.

We don't need a god in this world, especially this one... 1 Peter 2:18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. Exodus 21 "slavery and owning people as property" Leviticus 25:44 “However, you may purchase male and female slaves from among the nations around you. Psalm 137:9 "Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks" Hosea 13:16 God promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and “their women with child shall be ripped up." 2 Kings 2:23-25 Elisha Is Jeered. From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! Leviticus 21:18-21 "No man who has any defect may come near the lord with a food offering: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; no man with a crippled foot or hand, or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles." Deuteronomy 22 28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Leviticus. 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

Wow, I had no idea you had passed away. I just want to say thank you for the rich culture you gave us. Back in the 90s in Norway, I was working as a bouncer and didn’t recognise who you were at first. When you came to the door, I asked you to queue like everyone else. Later, someone from the record label approached me, asking, “Do you even know who that is?” I said, “No, it doesn’t matter; he should behave like everyone else.” They told me, “That’s Maxi Priest from Faithless.” I still said, “Well, anyone can say that.” Then my boss came out, had a word with them, and said to me, “Eirik, you really need to listen to these people. This is the real deal.” That moment was such a mix of surprise and excitement for us. Later, I heard back that you thought it was one of the best things that had happened to you in a long time-not being recognized and being treated like an “ordinary” person. That speaks volumes about your humility and greatness as a person. Thank you for that unforgettable moment. Rest in peace, dear brilliant artist.
