There are two types of low-fi, one is a down-sampled version of professional recording (like this), the other is because it is the raw experience of actually being there (vast majority of other recordings on this channel). Your reasoning is the motivation I changed recording style to shift attention from getting the band on screen (what a professional recording should do), to capture the atmosphere of actually being on the dance floor, getting soaked in beer, crowd-surfer boots in your face, losing your voice singing along, and as a highlight, getting pulled into the mosh pit. Getting all of that and much more on camera without losing it (literally + figurative) is definitely a challenge that when nicely done makes it a real piece of art.

RIP Maxi Jazz. I have been to quit a few concerts and festivals in my life but Faithless had the best live vibe ever! Bringing house with a live band like a solid machine is almost an athletic performance and they are having so much fun doing it. So cool!

Saw them live once at the Shepherds Bush Empire. They were supported by Skinny who put on an amazing show doing stuff from "The Weekend" album. Faithless lifted the show to another level. It was great.

Thank you! This is certainly one of the best full-concert recordings of Faithless and could be the earliest of the good ones. Too bad it is so hard to get these recording in good quality - VHS and FM is better than nothing, but such a shame really that this is the best we have. Somewhere there should still be a master tape...
