Faiz Ahmed Faiz Special: The Renowned Writer and Poet

Faiz Ahmed Faiz, was a distinguished writer and a notable member of the Progressive Writers' Movement.
He followed the Marxist ideology and received the Lenin Peace Prize from the erstwhile Soviet Union in 1962.
His major literary works are:
· Naqsh-e-Faryadi (1943)
· Dast-e-Saba (1952)
· Zindan-Nama (1956)
· Dast-e-Tah-e-Sung (1965)
· Mere Dil Mere Musafir
· Sar-e-Wadi-e-Sina

No other poet from Pakistan is better known or more loved than Faiz - as a poet, a person and for all that he stood for. This admiration extends from the Urdu speaking populace of South Asia and wherever else they may be, to include several countries and many other languages. The magic of Faiz is transmitted worldwide through translations in more than 20 languages including English.

Thank you Samina, Glad that you were spotless and very well rehearsed in URDU, just a few Words of Sanskrit, MY COMPLIMENTS to Participants, I am a junior family friend of ALYS FAIZ, so last few weeks we were WORKING for Faiz Aman Mela In Lahore Pakistan,My thank you again ,to the crew Participants as well as the LOVERS of Languages, Excerpts from Faiz’s speech [Delivered in Urdu] on accepting the Lenin Peace Prize in Moscow in 1962 Human ingenuity, science and industry have made it possible to provide each one of us everything we need comfortable provided these boundless treasures of nature are not declared the property of a greedy few but are used for the benefit of humanity … However it is only possible if the foundations of human society are based not on greed, exploitation and ownership but on justice, equality, freedom and the welfare of everyone … I believe that humanity which has never been defeated by its enemies will after all be successful; at long last, instead of wars hatred and cruelty. The foundation of human kind will rest on the message of the great Persian poet Hafiz Sheerazi: “Every Foundation you see is faulty except that of Love which is faultless”. This is india man great country, i have read one of his couplet some where" zard patton ka ban yeh mera des hai, dard ki anjuman yeh mera des hai" which shows how much his heart felt about the country in which he lived and a pitiable condition and even though he is not alive but i have replied to that in my very own words toothi poothi shayari me.

ye ajeeb si baat kar rahe hai panel mein log, Faiz ek azeem shayar thhey magar mujhe nahin lagta ki unka kalaam har kisi ko mutasir karta hai - zubaan bahut mushkil hai usko samajhna ek aam mazdoor ke bas ki baat kahin se bhi nahi hai. mujhe pata nahin ki in logon mein aam aadmi ki paribhasha kya hai - habib jalib ka kalaam aam aadmi ki zuban main hai. aur aisa faiz khud bhi maante they. jashn faiz ka hai to jhoothi tareef sahi nahi hai.
