Oak Cliff is pretty much the entire southern and southwest section of Dallas on the map (everything west of I-45) but it’s not considered South Dallas cuz it used to be its own city and was annexed. Oak Cliff has about 300,000 people which basically makes it a city within a city. A lot of it is hood and quite a bit of it is nice. It’s not like it’s one small hood. It basically was a suburb that got annexed and was nice then white flight hit after blacks moved in around maybe the 60s/70s. Then crack hit in the 80s. It’s the story of every black neighborhood in America that was nice at some point. But because of how big Oak Cliff is, some of the neighborhoods are still nice. Idk the politics of the MO3 or Boosie situation but I’m sure it involves a small group of folks within basically an entire city worth of people🤷🏾‍♂️.
