Faja weave demonstration by Irma

What a technique! Big thanks to Irma for sharing with us during a recent Textile Travel itinerary. She was so concentrated!
It's not so often that we get to observe the warp-faced weave used for creating "fajas" or sashes here in Guatemala. This was a big treat for advanced weavers of the trip to be able to see up-close.
