I did something similar with fake blood and latex when working in a pub. One of the other barmen, Bob, and I had taken the empty bottles to recycling and on the way back I applied the latex and blood between my thumb and index finger to look like my hand had been slashed by one of the broken bottles. The owners sister in law was working behind the bar when we got back and I shouted up that I needed a plaster. When I showed her the fake cut her face went pure white and she whispered "Jesus James that's no gonnie need a plaster that's gonnie need stitches". I pretended to argue for a bit before saying "Nah, this will cure it". I then grabbed the ragged flap of latex and ripped the fake cut off my hand. Linda's eyes bugged out and she fainted. When she came round the first thing she saw was the flap of blood soaked latex and fainted again. After she came round again Bob and I explained what had happened. Linda went a wee bit mad and chased me halfway up the road with a real broken bottle while threatening to make the injury real, after about 4 hours she had calmed down enough to be able to laugh about it.
