Exactly. Unless something I see sways the decision, I always balance the negative and positive reviews. Think it out and use good judgment. There's been occasions when products with overwhelmingly negative reviews served my needs well, and times when products with good reviews didn't. Reviewers aren't always reliable either. I recently purchased a portable fan with many gushing reviews, only to discover it was pure garbage.

If you look very close at the cable of the plug at 8:07 you can see that it is not connectet to anything... I don't think these fuses are the only things fake in this show
@emilychb6621
@emilychb6621 5 жыл бұрын
Why would it be connected to anything? Just the wires in the cable stub or even just the plug need to be shorted, i.e directly connected to each other. No need to involve any other appliance at the end of the cable.

A lot of the Chinese fakes omit things in the design that they don't understand have a function. Plus, while the sand is cheap to be sure, sourcing a supplier and purchasing it does have at least some cost associated with it. Legitimate companies have skimped on safety to save 1/100th of a cent per unit.

Fuses reduce the electrical flow from mains to the product, so when a surge happens the fuse blows and stops the flow of electricity to the appliance. A surge without a fuse could cause the appliance to basically overload and cause damage such as fires (thin wires that overload and cannot support the high electricity flow can heat up and set fire to the appliance which can spread)

I find it funny when these manufacturers hype up the exceptions! Also, they think nothing of utilyzing extremely cheap Chinese labor so they can make exhorbiant profits, then whine and cry when the very factories they use make them for others! In some cases the Chinese factories do most if not all the design work for the products they are manufacturing, basically making these Branded companies nothing more than middlemen and marketers!! Hard to have sympathy for companies who think nothing of having their products made outside their own country for pennies, then charge their own countrymen and women huge mark-ups, and their economy benefits not at all from these middlemen!!! ZERO SYMPATHY!!!!!

Is surprising how little some people know about fuses. Universal lol. I remember I used to work in an Arcade, I was at a different location for the same company one day. I'd been in the job much longer than the supervisor at the time. Anyway, one of the machines stopped working. I said to the other guy that I'd check the fuse. I went to the shop next door to buy some fuses. meanwhile the other guy called the supervisor, I'd told him to wait. Anyway, I got the fuse, it previously had a 5A fuse so I replaced it with a 5A. And it started working. The supervisor then appeared. He asked how I got it working, I told him, "I just changed the fuse." He said, "Nice, how do you do that?" In charge of an arcade and unable to change a fuse.

eBay love giving money back to buyers. This is one of the rare times the seller is dodgy. Normally it's the buyers winning an item, changing their mind but not telling the seller for a week. Or putting an offer in and then once it's instantly accepted they change their mind. Or trying to claim the item is faulty, get a refund and then return the incorrect item. eBay puts too much emphasis on buyer protection and not nearly enough protection for the sellers. And it doesn't help that alot of people buying on eBay fail to grasp the basics of how the site is meant to work.

I'd never buy anything off eBay ever again. I did a lot around the early years of the site. Only had two bad experiences. One the guy refused to send the item,even though I paid very quickly...I literally had to threaten him by phone to get him to send the item. I was like 16 at the time lol. The second was a DVD that I could only get to work in one player...but the lady didn't speak good English so I gave up. They both left negative reviews,which was ridiculous to me. I actually had more positive feedback as a buyer than most sellers did at the time... something around 150-200. I've seen too many people personally order stuff off eBay and never get it,or get completely scammed. I'd rather pay the premium on Amazon and know I'm at least going to get the item. Just look for the Prime mark or the "fullfilled by Amazon" and you know the item actually exists at the very least lol. The only problem being that you'll never get the kind of deals you see on eBay. That's especially true with games. They can be marked up by an insane amount in some cases. As a sidenote...if you are selling fake products and can convince someone to buy them,I don't feel all that bad...until the fake product is potentially lethal. I have no sympathy for someone that could do that.

im gonna assume your american you dont have fuses you have breakers which are designed to cut the electric if theres a sudden inrush of current such as a fault they will only trip when they exceed the amp limit of that circuit like 40amps in the uk we have a similar system but add in a second layer of protection at the plug which is a fuse this will only blow if my device exceeds the power rating of itself like 13 amps 5 amps or 3 amps now what this protects from is a problem americans should know well burning your house down on christmas eve because you have 40 amps worth of xmas lights plugged into a shitty extension cord that was only ever rated for 13 amps maximum load its not a scam it actually saves lives and it doesent cost us much if anything the average uk house hold will only have to change a fuse maybe once or twice a year and the fuses themselves cost pennys

UK has fuses in plugs because they use ring mains system with just one big breaker. Places that dont use fuses in plugs use radial mains system and have several circuits usually at 8A for common house circuits or 16A for workshops and such, double that for places that use 110-120V.

Only the UK is enamored with fuses. The rest of the world has GFI switches that trip faster and are safer than a crappy fuse. You will die long before a fuse blows.

Data, see, the thing with data is, you can turn anything into anything else and all data DOES is represent something else. If you know how to do it, you can access it and change it and spoof it on any level and at any node in the chain. And we took every aspect of our commerce, governance and intelligence and electronics control and privacy and dumped it into the closest hard drive we could find, cause convenience. Remember that old saying "Good, Cheap or Fast, pick two"? What on earth made us believe we could have all three, because "Computers!"?

I'll never forget the day but I got scammed on eBay someone was selling something they do not exist I purchase this item back in 2011 it's now 2017. and I have not received my merchandise and I will not ever receive it. eBay pretty much told me if there is nothing we could do about it because the item that I purchased had to be manufactured by the person who were selling it so therefore it is only exceeded the 30-day money back.

You do but it’s a mechanical switch when under a high load it heats up and changes shape causing it to trip (turn off) back in the day we used to have actually fuses in fuse boards some houses still do just that it’s more of an inconvenience changing a fuse compared to just switching it back on.

to be fair only in UK you can find fuses in the plug. Otherwise, if the current was too high it would have tripped the main fuse from the breaker panel, and wont blow up the plug.

If the cops called in the armed forces and opened the shutters with a missile or tank, that owuld show the criminals that they're deadly serious. Then force the criminals to pay back the massive amount of money that operation cost. Depending on the munitions, it could be _billions_ of pounds sterling!
