3 Mont Blanc and my daily is a Pelican Classic. Some say I'm crazy (I'm like you...a Blue Collar Worker), and when ever I am in a meeting or something with execs or Doctors and I pull out my Montblanc, the looks I get from them cracks me up. Here's this guy covered in tattoos, obviously Blue Collar with calloused hands and leather like skin pulls out a finer writing instrument than them. I love taking their ostentatious asses to the cleaners like that. Letting them know, I'm a force to be noticed regardless of my education, career choice etc. Keep on keeping on Bob! I hope you can resolve your fake Monblanc situation with a real one. Cheers! Zip~

Great video!! I'm bless having 4 Mont Blanc pens (well 1 is a pencil) 3 I bought in a leather Mont Blanc pouch and a gold plated fountain pen. Which I have the fountain ink just have never filled it. I did not know a serial number was on the pens. All 4 of mine have "Made in Germany" and a serial number on the clip like in your video. Each day in my office I use the pencil a lot and carry the twist black ink pen/writing instrument with me when I leave my home office. Thank you again for all of your videos!! One time I rode my HD to Ft Worth from Mesquite TX and kept looking down to see if my pen was still in my front pocket. I do not take my writing instrument(s) on the motorcycle anymore........lol

The two Mont Blanc boxes side by side are different. If you look at the trademark snowy mountain peak on one box, you can see where snowy mountain peak has bled into the white circle.

I have a pen I swear by too. It's the $40 Fisher AG7 otherwise known as the Space Pen. Can your frenchy "MontBlanc" do that? Just kidding, I had no idea that design was a rip-off . Looks like a nice pen collection you got there. Yea, their's allot of fakes for everything going on right now. I was looking for some calipers recently and eBay was flooded with fake Mitutoyo digital calipers. Thank god I prefer the dial calipers but still, makes me wonder. I actually bought out of curiosity because they're only $30 and I was shocked by the amount of effort they went through to make a copy. I bought it to work and everyone was shocked too. If only they copied the low voltage protection function the real ones have I could use them too. Stay safe.

You could also see inside the storage case the Mont Blanc "C" was wrong. Fake is a strange thing My Bro in law worked for a hosiery manufacturer who made stuff for Nikke and some others Nike used to supply their material well the bloke got in some bother as he was also running off a load of fake stuff but here is the twist his were inspected next to genuine and the experts said they would rather have his as they were better quality.

I had my regional manager when I worked for a telecom give me a fake Montblanc. I found out years later when it broke. Exactly the same one you demonstrated at the beginning of the video.

That was an ass hat move on the part of your RM Sean. Too bad you don't still work there. You could swap it out for what was probably the real McCoy when he wasn't looking lol. They ARE Fine writing instruments. I've got three, but my daily is a Pelican. Too worried someone will nick it. If you're in the market. Check out the Pelican's. NICE pens, still a little pricey, but they write nearly as well. Cheers! Zip~

Bob I've been bit by the Montblanc scam myself. Look at the two booklets at 10:16. The first one the texture is crisp and clean. The emblem is sharp and the font lines well done. The second book the texturing is subdued, the emblem is sloppy and the font looks ever so slightly blobby on the "N." Sorry boss. Keep the videos coming!

I could tell by the color of the pearl it wasn't real and I know they wouldn't use a fake one. I have so much respect for companies like MontBlanc because of the craftsmanship and attestation to detail is at the highest standers and you don't see that enough anymore. Even though I don't own any myself I do find them to be very beautiful I'd love to possess a few in the future I do calligraphy and write poems to wheeled a instrument so lovely would be define.Thank you for the helpful info I will take it all under advisement when I buy them in the future. I will only buy from the actual company because I never want to help a scammer they are terrible people and I wish they didn't exist.

I have been wanting a Pelikan K205 ballpoint. On the more ordinary, but well built side, the vintage Paper Mate Profile series are better (to me) than a Parker Jotter.

They've got so many fake for sale now, not only Mont Blanc but Rolexes and many other being sold for $5-10,000. The copies are getting more difficult to tell if they are copies or genuine.

Faking the special editions works better for exactly the reasons you covered. Same thing with knock-off Ibanez guitars.

If you bought that pen from anywhere other than an AD then it’s a fake.

The way the bead on the clip sits on the clip’s edge on that Mt Blanc Muses doesn’t seem right. On the real thing the seat of the bead will have a sharp arc to it. I hate to say it but I think it may be fake.

Somebody that counterfeits pens probably has connections with the manager of a box company in China that has no problem selling boxes out the back door.

Where did you buy this pen? Lol. I know it's bad but I kind of want one. If you ever want to sell the fake, I live in DFW.

It’s easy to tell fakes apart if you appreciate the intense effort that goes into the real stuff. I can tell fake rolexes and tag heuers from 20 feet away. Fake Rolex Submariners are everywhere and even the better fakes stand out as gaudy, bulky, and lack the essential luster you’d see on a real piece. If you spend 1 hr at a watch shop appreciating the visual flair of the real stuff, you’ll be able to tell the fakes apart.

I hear you, mate, loud and clear. BUT, I mean, in the end, WHO PHOQUIN CARES about the serial number? Would you kindly explain, cause I don't get it! Seems to me an ordinary lad WILL get the very same pleasure he would have gotten had the bloody pen cost him ten times as much! Here's what I suggest: have someone engrave a fake serial number on yours... What do you think? Would you have been able to make that video if there had been a (fake) serial number on it? Give me a break, brother...😛

Wait, did you say a thousand dollars for a pen? That can't be correct or people are outta their damn minds lol. Buy a space pen, they last forever, write in the cold and upside down too.

Something you didnt touched on, thats the metal..all fakes uses cheap more inferior metal and metalising work, they tend to corrode faster over a short period of time..
