Bob and Shawn, thanks for bringing up that very dumb wheelbarrow with the tight rope illustration. The first time and every time after I always felt like I was missing something or I was not saved. Now to be honest, if I was being taught the wrong gospel and this wheelbarrow thing was one of those I probably was not saved back then. Now ironically that same youth/young single adult pastor that taught that wheelbarrow thing, years later after I left that church, he winds up being a special speaker at this other church I was now attending. Then I was visiting another church for the first time and guess what he was there giving that same message. You guys were the first to bring up the fallacy of that illustration, thank you so much. Now that illustration will work fine for discipleship teaching, but not for salvation for heaven the free gift is received by believing in what Christ alone did for me is the foundation, not a wobbly rope and a human asking me to trust them for the ride.

Believing in *is* trusting. It's not believing but believing in/on which is a synonym of trusting. The trust is in the fact that it's an eternal gift that you can never lose and that only Jesus can give that provided that you trust him alone. Here is a gospel summarizing verse from the KJV, which, by the way, you guys need to stock up on. 1 John 5:11-13 King James Version (KJV) 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

I don't use the ESV. They would not argue with the need to believe in or believe on Jesus. But "believe in" does not equal the word trust. The Spirit did not inspire the authors of Scripture to tell us to trust in Jesus but to believe in Him. The kjv doesn't tell you to trust in Jesus to have eternal life. It says to believe in Jesus! You seem to like adding your own opinions to the words of Scripture. Roman Catholics like Erasmus did that a lot too.

πιστευων verb - present active participle - nominative singular masculine pisteuo pist-yoo'-o: to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication, *to entrust* (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ) *Roman Catholics like Erasmus did that a lot too* Keep parroting this nonsense, it only shows your ignorance about Erasmus' biography. Yeah, he was so Catholic that the Roman Catholic Church actually officially declared him a heretic and banned his books. He's so Catholic that none of the modern translations supported and financed by the Catholic church use his TR. Oh yeah, he's so Catholic. I mean, wasn't William Tyndale also a Catholic since he never officially left the Catholic Church? You're so intellectually honest! Besides, even if Erasmus were only a Catholic reprobate so what? Is God unable to use sinful people to preserve his Word? Has there ever been a sinless person handling the Bible? But you losers will jump to any argument to discredit the KJV wont you?

faith = trust : it is interchangeable. faith in Christ's work = trust Christ did it. trust doesn't necessarily has an action component. In fact, in french, _'trust'_ comes from the root _'fide'!_ (trust = confiance (from latin _'confidere'_)) _'saving faith'_ is a tool of the devil to imply there is a _'simpler faith'_ in Christ's work that doesn't save.

But if they’re persuaded it’s true they have already believed it."* *THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE* So it's not another type of faith, but there is a DIFFERENCE from normal faith ... so it's equal and different at the same time? which one is it? is normal faith and saving faith equal or different? and what is normal faith for you? (i.e the faith that doesn't save, since you separate it from saving faith by calling it different) faith is binary, it's not - 0: no faith - 0.5: faith - 1.0: saving faith.

And the word _"repentance"_ needs a context, or it just means _"a change of mind about something"_ Repent in *Acts 2:38* is repentance from unbelief in Christ, as explained in the paragraphs above verse 38. I think it is absolutely possible to believe that Jesus died for your sins, to accept that as true, but to not trust in it aka not WANTING to get saved... I think this may be a strange, but possible thing; that people get convicted of their sins, but choose (with their free will) not to get saved aka not to trust in Jesus for Salvation. This would be the case with every works salvationist. They have all the information right, yet they did not accept Salvation by Faith Alone; aka trusting in Christ alone. The notion of TRUST in important. BELIEVE ON Jesus means to trust in Jesus for Eternal Life. Also Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:13: "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation..." TRUST is BELIEVING IN Jesus.

THE GIVER and HIS GIFT -- The Holy Spirit is God(Jehovah) our Creator(Elohim). The God and the Father of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the offspring of God, only begotten, physically, by Divine conception of God, the Giver; Holy Spirit! God's gift is holy spirit, which is power from on high. We are baptized by this gift from God, the Giver. "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49. "And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me."For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." Acts 1:4-5. "endued with power from on high" Luke 24:49. EQUALS "the promise of the Father" Acts 1:4. EQUALS "ye shall be baptized with the holy spirit" Acts 1:5. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8. "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. "And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4. "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call." Acts 2:38-39. Ask questions, that you may understand these truths much better.

What Is the New Birth? Throughout Scripture, there are many analogies between things in the natural realm and corresponding things in the spiritual realm. God uses these to help us human beings, who do understand the natural realm, understand spiritual truth also. One such example is the idea of being "born again." Think about a normal human birth-you know, "Wa-a-a-h!" There you were, a screaming bundle of life. Why were you screaming? Because you were peeved about having to wait until later in life to get a liver? No. You "came from the factory" completely, completely complete, with everything you needed for growth perfectly packaged within you. Why then would your spiritual birth leave you lacking something necessary for you to grow to spiritual maturity, something you must acquire later on in your spiritual life? It doesn't. We will see from Scripture that at the moment you are born again, that is, born of God, you received from your heavenly Father the gift of holy spirit-all you will ever need, the fullness of God in Christ in you, God's divine nature. The first time you were born was because of a seed-one that your father gave your mother. Because of Adam's sin, it was a "corruptible" seed, that is, the life it generated will not last forever-it will eventually die. But when one is born again, he is born of incorruptible [imperishable] seed. 1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. The imperishable seed is the very life of God planted within you in the gift of holy spirit. As a Christian, you are now endued with a new, divine nature, and you have the potential to be like your Father. 2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV) (2) Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: (4) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. In 1 Peter 1:23, we see that one's new, spiritual birth comes via hearing and believing the Word of God. 2 Peter 1:2 and 3 speak of the "…knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord" as the means by which we learn how to become partakers of the divine nature. It is in God's Word that one finds the knowledge of how to get born again. Where is this in the Word? Romans 10:8-10 (8) But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: (9) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. The "word of faith" is that Word of God one must believe in his heart if he wants to be saved. Saved from what? Death. What saves you from death? Life. How do you get life? Birth. Thus we see that to be "saved" is the same as to be born again. Simple, huh? Let's allow another section of Scripture to clarify just what it means to be "saved." Note the "liquid" terminology. Titus 3:5 and 6 (Amplified Bible [AMP]) (5) He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit [no article "the," read "holy spirit"], (6) Which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. In these verses, we can clearly see that to be "saved" (from death) is to be born again and simultaneously receive new life in the gift of holy spirit. In the words "cleansing [bath]" and "poured out," we see the liquid analogy-the reason why we call God's divine deposit within us a "liquid asset." The word "richly" indicates that God did not hold back anything when He gave us the gift of holy spirit. Three great statements of the Lord Jesus Christ's goodness follow the formula for salvation in Romans 10:9 and 10. Romans 10:11-13 (11) As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. (12) For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, (13) for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." If you needed financial help, would you ask a poor man or a rich man? A poor man might desire to help you, but he would lack the means. A rich man has the means to help, if he wills to do so. The Lord Jesus became poor by giving his life for us, and God raised him from the dead to the riches of a limitless inheritance (Heb. 1:4). That is why he is rich unto all who call on him. He gives a gift to each one. This gift is the holy spirit that Jesus received from God, and gives to each person who believes in him as Lord. The first time that the exalted Lord Jesus did this was on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:33). This gift of holy spirit is the "earnest" (Eph. 1:14 - KJV), or guarantee, that your "earthen vessel" will, at his appearing, be replaced by a perfect body like the Lord's.

GES is spot on when it comes to defining the words faith and believe, but their idea of the content of saving faith is misleading and does not align with the Gospel of John. For starters just use a simple lexicon like the BDAG to define Christ or just google it for that matter. GES tries to convince their readers they are very biblical with their unique definition of the Christ in the gospel of John when really they are forcing their theology on the text so they can stand out from Catholics, Calvinist, Arminians, etc. They seem to pride themselves in being in different that’s for sure. Also, I’m shocked at how poorly they misrepresents some other free gracers in this video. A lot more could be said, and I’ll be discussing much of this in a video intend to release in the next few months. GES knows the others views yet they fail to represent them fairly. They don’t like it when ppl do it to them, so don’t do it to others.

Animated Bible and Theology found your scroll down comments ... Glad you posted them... And I think you know that I disagree with you about their statements... They probably could spend at least a video expanding and talking about those in the free grace that disagree with them about this or that... You would be one of those they could list as a free Grace type person who has a more Hullinger view of John... etc However, the point of these videos is not to cover your DUMLT but their own... Ha

GES seems to differentiate between “faith” and “saving faith” as being what the object of the faith is... Maybe? Much faith (which all Homo sapiens have... all humans are convinced of something or someone? as true. Many have faith or are convinced that something is true or correct THAT IS NOT CORRECT.... Bob Wilken seems to identify that as a “false faith”. ... I think I am understanding what he just said?? You seem clear that Bob & Shawn do not agree with you about “the content??” Of saving faith... I think, since I have known you for sometime, that you both center that “content” on Jesus the Historical Christ??? Your ideas are really good and deserve to be heard and thought through and dialogued among all orthodox “believers” in Jesus and His promise... I hope you will take Jody Dillow and sit down with Bob & Shawn and enjoy your different ideas of the “one interpretation” of each passage of scripture.... And I think a competent to counsel and communicate biblicist like Larry Crabb or a great secular humanist atheist like Carl Rodgers (who is dead) could objectively insure that all parities actually hear and understand the other’s perspectives... Keep ALL Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar would be Nouthetic Jay Adams counselors OUT OF THE ROOM!.... ha Most good counselors can tell when good communication is taking place .... And THEY are not to be depended on for Hermeneutical advice!...maybe??

You never clearly state what the proposition is that one must believe. What exactly is it? Is it not the GOSPEL that Paul preached? (1Corinthians 5:1-4). If it is this Gospel, as Paul states it is, then what is Paul talking about when he says "if you BELIEVE IN VAIN? How is someones belief VAIN according to you?

And what if someone says I believe the gospel and I know it’s true I just don’t care. Believing someone exists and acknowledging certain facts about the person’s life is there a difference between “believing in” and “believing that”. i.e I believe that Joe Biden is real but I don’t believe in Joe Biden.

Yes, the Textus Receptus is the original. The critical text is from corruption.

There is nothing original about the TR. There were thousands of Greek/Hebrew manuscripts before with minor differences and variants. Picking the TR as the original is simply picking the most popular as the original. God doesn't normally pick what man deems to be the most popular.

Daniel 12: 4 and 9. The book of Daniel is still SEALED and will remain Sealed until " the time of the end ". Rev. 10: 2 . The book of Daniel UNSEALED. The little book is the Book of Daniel. The Angel in this verse is Yahshua. Bless you.

Yahweh holds all the atoms in the universe together with HIS POWER. On the LAST day Yahweh will let go of all the atoms of the universe and the corruptible universe will cease to exist and THEN Yahweh's Everlasting Incorruptible Kingdom will continue. Before Gen. 1: 1 There was Yahweh's Everlasting Incorruptible Kingdom. Rev. 20: 7 - 15 is the LAST day. Judgment day. LAST day means LAST day. There are NO days after the LAST day. John 6: 39, 40, 44, 54. These scriptures talk about the LAST day. May Yahweh bless you.

The chosen are saved from sin by the free gift of a grateful nature. Nothing more. Actually, gratitude and faith are one and the same thing. SALVATION BY GOD ALONE ● Homeless too dumb to know God, they too are saved: "Lord, when did I feed you..." ● Most of the chosen few, they are given a grateful nature and saved at birth. ● The chosen are saved from sin by the free gifts of both a grateful nature and faith. ● Less then 5% of humanity has ever gained salvation. For earth is the realm of sin.
