nice, I usually shoot with just blank white screen as its enough for mocha to track and then you can place the white screen on top of your cg display for realistic reflection from the original display...also DPs are happy that they dont need to deal with nasty green light :)

Yep yep. That’s ideally what I would do as well and just “screen” it. But usable footage is scarce. I hate green screen.

I love the idea! one thing thoug ... i'd move the footage into linear and remove linearization in the end ... give way superior results, blending reflections

Great tutorial as always! Quick suggestion, it's great to know how to invert using expressions, but in this case there's no need. There's an Invert tick box in the Mocha plug in that you can turn on before applying the data

I would put a multiplier on the inverse function if that's possible because of the distance of the things you see in the reflection is greater so it would have moved faster. But that would mean you need a bigger picture for the reflection. Nice tutorial nonetheless. Thank you.

the reflection should be over the entire phone not just the display part, just a quick comment and my 2 cents

Valid point. But, I have to keep these within the range of 10 minutes. So I try to choose 1 specific thing and focus in on that. More than anything, what is bothering with this one is that I didn't correct my black levels. Would've taken a minute.

This is my mistake. This actually comes with the Key Correct Plugin from Red Giant. I 100% apologize. It's hard to keep track of the plugins that I've used for years. You can still get the same result by using a regular Gradient ramp and then using that as a Track Matte. Again, I'm so sorry.
