It’s more realistic to not put the batteries in. Blinking light is a key indicator for criminals to know that you are running a fake camera. Real cameras don’t have activity status lights in the camera. Security cameras use infrared light for night vision, which is not visible to the human eye. I brought these same cameras, I’m not going to put batteries in them. Just install them on a spot that is a bit far for people to look at it closely and observe that it’s a fake camera. The farther they are the more real they look. And pls don’t use batteries for the blinking red light.

Not always true, on my friends real camera system they all blink when they sense activity.

I have been doing security for 32 years now this year . The only reason a light should blink is when they are on pause , just like the old VCR.

There's no speaker on the fake security camera it's just a blinking light that looks like a outdoor camera. I can take a picture and show you what it looks like on the outside I have it setup

How long do the batteries last before running dead? I’m putting these on my roof and I want to know how long it will be before I have to climb up there and replace them

If you use a good set of batteries that are non-rechargeable they'll last at least 3 months. If you use rechargeables which makes it easier about the same amount of time but you can recharge them and put it back out there.

If it werent for that red light it would be realistic...all anyone has to do is google it and flashing lights on a security camera haven't existed since the 1980s

You can modify it to not flash and just a constant red light.

What are the speaker looking holes on the bottom of it by where the batteries go in

When you put the screws into the wall those are the holes you lock it into
