Ok. so I feel like I need to clarify something. This is NOT CANON to the Sonic comics. This is a fan made edit I made of Sonic X Issue #25. You can stop asking if its real now lol. TL;DR. Its not.

Fun fact: He kinda is! Sega has made at least 2 tweets that not only acknowledge the existence of Sonic.exe, but outright implement him into the canon universe, though not in the way you'd expect. The first tweet, according to several comments here, was Sega posting an image with the text "Giving some love to the GameGear era, wait a second, is that?" The image attached was Normal Sonic transitioning into Sonic.exe (at least, according to several other comments here, could be wrong) The 2nd tweet, which I've actually seen, was posted on a Friday the 13th, an animated 16 bit GIF with the attached text: "Watch out for Black Cats, no one is immune" The GIF depicts a shadowy sprite of Big the Cat running by Sonic in Green Hills, after this occurs, the landscape changes, the water turns red, and Sonic transforms into Sonic.exe, right before he breaks open an Eggman monitor and loses a life, whoops! So yeah! Not entirely sure if the tweets could or should be considered Canon, but Sonic.exe HAS appeared in official Sonic media at least twice!
