Be careful people can still buy that side tab sticker and stick it on the box. The way to make sure it’s fake is if you pull that tab with arrow on it down it will just come off and not take off plastic. Almost got scammed this way.

I was going to buy Airpods Pro but then found some good clones (Navapods). Everything is literally the same as on the original airpods but they cost only 60$ I think. Crazy. Sure, sound isn't exactly the same as on my friend's original airpods pro but he paid so much more lol. I'd say the sound quality is about 80% compared to retails. These are all over Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. The dead giveaway is to look at the serial numbers. Each individual AirPod and charging case must have different serials. Also when you connect it to your phone it should show the serial number of the charging case under “settings/Bluetooth”

You can also tell by checking if they populate in hardware in general settings. If they don't then they are fake. If they do they are real

@@Wheewhee12 if you have the airpods(or any apple product for that matter) connected via bluetooth to your iphone or ipad, if you go into settings, then "general", then go into "about", when you scroll and read through the options you will see the connected apple device in this area. In this area you will be allowed to click the name and information about that product will show including , manufacturer, model number, serial number, firmware version, and hardware version. If you only see your device in the bluetooth area, but not also in this area... chances are they are a fake product. Only down side to this is of you are buying new you wont be able to do these steps... but by using the visual tips from this video such as the classic wrapping difference you may be able to spot a fake before getting this far. But this may work perfect for those who are buying used products.

FYI for anyone trying to figure out the serial number thing.... there is a way to know (at least it worked for me) about the serial number. On your phone, go to Settings > General > About.... scroll down until you see your Airpods (or earbuds...) and look and see if the serial number in there matches the one on the box. Mine didn't. Considering the fake ones were the second pair I got... I knew immediately they were fake. I could tell right away (before even opening the box... like you talked about, the plastic)... something felt wrong. After putting them in, the sound wasn't as clear, sounded a bit muffled, I never knew when Noise Canceling was on... I see now, it's because it didn't actually work on the second pair... The Airpods case I bought didn't fit perfectly for the fake ones like it did on my real ones...and you were right about it saying IOS on the paper work instead of what it's supposed to say........ F* ebay.... I'm never buying from there again... I've had way too many NOT WORTH IT incidents. I thought I was going to save $150, so it definitely seemed worth it.... and now I'm dealing with a scam artist in Los Angeles... yay. Thanks for the video Redskull 🙏🏼

I got such a good copy. The only things what's missing the spatial audio option and the noise cancelling doesn't works. But the sound it's great everything else works even I checked the coverage on the apple website and it's look ok. The wrapping aswell it was like on the original

The serial numbers on the AirPods are off-center from the black dot microphone thing on one of the models. I don’t know if that printing would always be in the same spot. I assume it should be right?

The fake ones are actually not too bad I tried to replace the ear tips and on the right one it was okay but on the left one well. The whole freaking black speaker thing broke off however I was able to easily click them back in place. And the sound is okay not too bad and they work well the real ones of course are better but they are still decent if you have fake ones don’t worry you won’t need the real ones it’s basically the same.

most of the time if you search the serial number on the fake ones you will see that they've been registered months ago or it's a replacement pair...so you wouldn't be able to get Apple care for them

Do be careful, my older brother went to a pawn shop and he was selling multiple fake AirPod pros he realized it was fake and pawn shop guy didn’t want to refund him, and the end he actually refunded but my brother lost $80, so he went to Best Buy to buy the original ones. Sucks to see pawn shops abusing their power of trust.

How did u lose $300 when the fakes almost sound better in my opinion if the headphones didn't work I'd say u lost money but if they are a working set of airpods then u didn't lose anything except paying more as 2 pairs of fakes shipped is $110 but as u said u lost $300 so I'm assuming neither pair work at all and there usless. If u wanna sell me a pair I'll take another as they sound better than the real ones to me I'm not a cry baby over the package being different I just want to listen to music not to worry about a pull tab on the plastic wrapper.
