I found out that my JBL Go 3 was fake and when I saw the speaker, I felt like it was fake and I went to Harman Warranty to check if it was original and it was invalid, I was really disappointed and I just wasted my gift money of my dad, he gave me my dream speaker as a gift because my grades were high in school.

Look at the diagonal lines on gray side. Upper left corner of fake doesn't have the same small line as original. Saw that on other fakes as well.

TG 505 has very limited space inside, the type of battery it uses is hard to find one that has high capacity. If I use a bigger battery the speaker magnet will be in the way and it won't close.

This is why you buy the go 3 and other jbl products RIGHT from their website so you can avoid all this bs, least then you will know it is a fully authentic product. You can even hear the fake lacks the Harman curve and all the dsp tuning of the real one, the fake sounds boxy...

I have a fake go3 and it acts exactly as original, it's made exactly the same on the outside, no difference, but when you tear it down you see everything, no description on the speaker, metal plate on passive radiator, no description on battery (and it is smaller), completely different main board and of course - shit sound

Look at the back strokes on the rubber of the original, they start from small to large, the fake starts directly with a large stroke. That's how you can tell if you have an original or a fake. About a thumbs up I would be happy. your'e welcome.

The definitive test is the back rubber part: if it is perfectly simmetrical is real, if the extreme short lines are different is fake.
