Fake vs Real Dior Hypnotic Poison
How to spot fake Dior Hypnotic Poison
The smell is identical, you practically can't figure out which is fake or real, but the fake perfume doesn't last even 10 minutes.
The boxes are identical only the serial number are slightly different (below the barcode)
The protection card is different (see in the video), the fake one presents the original text compared to the original one which does not show anything.
The fake lid of the Dior Hypnotic Poison bottle is heavier than the original one (see in the video).
The base of the neck of the bottle (press the down button) is black, compared to the original one which is golden.
The original Dior Eau perfume bottle shows the text Hypnotic Poison, carefully inspect each letter, the fake one shows some color imperfections and alignment, a brand so big that Dior will never make such mistakes (wiping, extra material, alignment )
On the bottom of the original bottle we must find a serial number, this serial number must be identical to the serial number engraved on the bottom of the box, if this serial number does not exist is not identical, then you are faced with a fake perfume.

This fragrance was reformulated multiple times. The one with the black tassel is the original one. Then they took the tassel off and it still smelled extremely similar just less potent. The version that came last was similar to the first two but much sweeter and sheerer with an emphasis on red licorice/cherry fruit leather. This is my biggest complaint about Dior. Atleast call it hp edp 1.0,2.0,extreme something so we know they’re different.

As a 20-year long perfume collector with more than 500 bottles in my current collection. Let me tell you, these 2 bottles in this comparison are both Real. The only thing is the one on the left had been through rough caring. My guess is you probably acquired it from some second hand market. That coating or letters on the bottle will wear off if you just toss it into your bag or luggage without extra protection. Very normal. Most of your videos are on point. But this is definitely a miss.😀. anyway, good work, keep up.

@@FakeCip that's true, there's a slight chance that the real bottles get refilled with unknown liquid. On the other hand, the real bottles ain't hand polished pieces of art(with a few exceptions) . There're still many defects coming from the production that didn't get picked up by QC. Additionally, there are certain components the fake manufacturers wouldn't be able to acquire due to the cost. So fakes always have a pattern that reveal themselves, no matter how much effort they put into it.

@@FakeCip The bottle appears to be real on what I got, however I have heard that they are now using real boxes and bottles and the way to tell is to see if there are clamp marks around the neck of the bottle where the spray joins. To late to check if that was the case with mine. It's on it's way back to the seller tomorrow. I think the box and bottle are correct just what was in the bottle wasn't. Even if the box and bottle were 6 years apart.

I bought one off of evil bay which I received today, checked with you video all seemed to go well, the box was correct, the bottle seemed right it was sealed as it should be, however when sprayed the fragrance was so weak. Checked the batch code on the box, looked at the one on the bottle only to find that the bottle was made in 2013 and the box was dated for 2019 strangely though both were for batch date 2nd December. No way would Dior get something so wrong by 6 years between bottle and box. Needless to say it's on it's way back to the seller. 😔 Thing is I wasn't paying that much less than I would have paid from a shop. Think I learned a lesson.

a bit hard to figure out which is fake or real without a scale… there is another element of safety…. the code engraved on the bottom of the box must be as close as possible to the bar code… fakes are of several types… it is a very old perfume and or perfected with time those who produce it fake.

I meant the location of the number on the packing is not same for 50 as is for 100ml bottles plus it can literally be anywhere on the bottom of the carton. Also beware of the Toilette edition

Hypnotic Poison eau de toiletto ora come ora si puo' considerare falso proprio l'originale!! Con le ultime riformulazioni casa Dior l'ha completamente snaturato e impoverito, e' l'ombra di quello che era una volta, veramente massacrato. Lo paghi un sacco di soldi ed e' diventato una mezza acqua sporca insignificante che non si riconosce piu' ahime', almeno in Italia e' cosi. L'hanno ridotto peggio di uno dei suoi dupe piu' scadenti. Mi dispiace molto perche' lo amavo alla follia, ma ora ( da circa un 3/4 anni con le ultime ulteriori riformulazioni) fa schifo. Peccato! E ripeto non sto parlando di un fake, ma dell'originale al 100%. Credo che Hypnotic Poison eau de toilette sia il profumo che Dior ha riformualato negli anni nel peggiore dei modi rovinandolo completamente su tutto. Avrebbero fatto piu' bella figura a levarlo dal commercio a questo punto!
