I wish there was a setting like "Task bar only goes up between rounds" or something, because the task bar is honestly just unfair to the imposters. If you don't fake tasks, you get called out for not doing tasks, and if you do try to fake tasks, you just have to hope you get lucky and someone else happens to do a task at the same time. visual tasks are disabled, but checking the task bar is exactly the same thing with a bit of RNG. I'm not salty at Kara for using an effective tactic, but I am salty at the game for allowing such a tactic to be effective. Any method of detecting the imposters should be something the imposters can be careful and avoid falling into, but there is nothing the imposters can do about task bar without very obviously not doing tasks, which gets them voted out anyway

I saw an update where they may add settings so that taskbar can be always on, on only during meetings, or always off. Sounds like quite a game-changer. Somewhat related, it looks like wires might be changed to be more colorblind-friendly. The task will be shape based, rather than color based.

Kara and Jordan are 2 sides of the same coin, opposite ends of the spectrum. Both are too good for the other, and know each other's tells, which is why they keep killing one another. Also, I enjoy the faking of tasks because it doesn't harm the group, it doesn't prevent the crewmates from winning, he just messes with some people and sets up his future imposter wins. Quite genius. I've got to say, Jojo being '3rd Imposter' as she announces every round, and literally calls out random people then vanishes to get water is actually worse than whatever Kara thinks about Jordan because it harms the crewmates actively, lowers the amount of accurate votes, and makes it a much more frustrating game to watch.

I have a suggestion : If you talk on discord you could have everybody Deafen and when somebody dies they can undeafen and unmute so they can talk to other dead people because Deafen makes it so you can't hear people and the Deafened people won't hear the ghosts talking and during meetings the ghosts can mute Only impostor time stamp : 8:25

Yeah but the problem with that is the people who are alive and have discord open in a different tab will know who and when someone dies. Also, there could easily be a moment when the ghosts don’t mute in time when meeting are called so the players know something they shouldn’t

I love Jordan's and Kara's dynamic so I watch both of their POV's sometimes and a lot of the times when Kara is talking to her chat she seems genuinely pissed at Jordan during events that look like harmless fun in Jordan's POV. It also doesn't help that she is SUPER salty about people calling her out on the task bar strategy even though she's been wrong because of that several times before, all while constanly railing at Jordan for his task faking which is honestly not really impacting the game at all.

i don't think it matter if he fakes task, as voting him out are very few chances you will actually vote him out as imposter. jardon is at the point where even if he didn't fake take every round there is a slim change he would accidently fake a common task as imposter as he understands that he can visually see it on map and task board. so using that as a reason is not really valid in any case for this group as they are all fairly experienced and that mistake doesn't happen, unless it's jardon faking it. which they know so its a shot in the dark. so kara is a 3rd imposter knowing that she will most likely be wrong anyways. as video evidence shows sparkles is rarely imposter the chances of kara being right and not throwing the game is very low.

​@@DarthSears I Think faking common task and faking task bar should be separate though. faking common task is fine as its not really eliminating a game tactic. as faking a common task that's not actually a task doesn't happen often in more experienced games so your not effect the game as chanced are thats not going to happen anyways. but faking task to trick other crewmates is throwing the game. as watching task bar can be an effective way, in fact the only way to catch an imposter without killing someone. but again not always a 100% method due to lag.

@@EpicProvider Nope, Kara is the one who throws the game. She takes the fun out of it by being meta. Pretending she was right 100% of the time, that would make it where no strategies could be formed as either crewmate or imposter as then the game literally just tells you who's imposter. However, she just throws because the task bar doesn't always go up immediately and so she gets people killed that weren't imposter. Either way, trying to use the task bar just takes away the fun from the game and the strategies that people could come up with on either side, so the Captain faking tasks as a crewmate allows the game to still be alive and fun. Due note, very few people look at the task bar and that's intentional. It's a game and they want to have fun playing the game. I also don't want to see every Among Us video being, so and so's task bar didn't go up as that will get boring quickly.

This means that 80% of the time the crewmates would do best by continuing to ignore you faking keys. 17.78% of the time you're going to be imposter with someone else and she'd be right to lynch you. Worst case scenario however is the 2.22% of the time that you'd both be imposters. Why is this the worst case scenario? Will she has two choices, call you out on it, or don't. If she calls you out on it, and you're lynched, she's got to solo the rest of the game. If she doesn't call you out, it reveals you're both imposters and you both get lynched. What has angered her so much is that you are trying to change the meta, and I personally think that the meta should always be changing, because if there is one most effective tactic, then there's no reason to do anything else, and the game stagnates.

Maybe they should make it so you can only see it for like 10 seconds after a meeting/body is called, so crewmates can see how many tasks are left but prevents the metagame of using the task bar. It also makes sense because it's like calling a meeting (emergency or body) and checking in with everyone to see how many tasks people have done, so the bar will be updated. Alternatively, checking Admin table will show the task bar progression for people to view anytime

The Argument Why fake tasks? - It's funny - It helps protect you when you're an imposter, so you aren't out it for faking a task that doesn't exist/doesn't raise the task bar. Why NOT fake tasks? - it confuses fellow crewmates, no one can check taskbar to sniff out imposters. - It wastes voting time when people discuss tasks faked by crewmates. - Basically, makes it slightly easier for imposters to when by slightly slowing down crewmate deduction. Do "I" like faking tasks? I acknowledge it does harm the crewmate team, but not enough to cause them to lose a lot. So yes I enjoy watching and faking tasks. Do I enjoy "Detective" Kara? Yeah, she's wonderful. Sure, she may try to control conversations, but the game is about conversing. That's just part of looking for the truth, and finding the liers and time wasters of the group. Jordan and Kara, just have fun and play how you wanna play.
