I truly love how they leaned into the eerie horror of Celtic myth, what an effective approach. And Feo Ul's voice acting is great, it makes you really feel the wide range of emotions they have all at once.

For future reference: that blue circle (with the outwards pulsing arrows, but sometimes without them) that poor Fabian died in indicates a spot that a knockback is coming from (direction indicated by the arrows). Standing _in_ the blue is lethal, but you usually want to stand right next to it. For example, in the Extreme version of this fight, there are no walls and the knockback is longer, so if you don't stand close to the blue circle, you get knocked off the arena!

Hah yea it was a break from the darksouls zones. I think the folklore is that the pixies are the spirits of children reborn, which is supposed to be why they are so mischievous.

You should the fanfest 2021 rendition of Titania's boss music, its a lot clearer. The song actually starts off with a happy song and grows more maniac and anxiety filled as you listen. Its a surreal song that demonstrates the depth of the FF teams skill at evoking subtle emotion

I just did this a few weeks ago and one of the people in my group was surprised we had gotten through the big add phase with out having to an LB3, though someone had set up markers as to which one we were killing first also, so that helped.

It took me three different attempts to pass this trial at launch. Couldn't pass the DPS check. I was maining SAM through MSQ, and my first-ever DPS LB3 took her down. That much was very satifying.

I really really love this trial and zone. I feel like it captures a lot of what I love about this game (And tbh most final fantasy games), especially as you mentioned in contrast to the amh araeng story. Everything is so serious, then suddenly just have some silly, fun/funny time with some pixies. Reason for that kill order is because Mustardseed cannot be tank, it targets random people regardless of aggro. So the strat is the two tanks will pick up Puck and Peachblossom, while the raid kill Mustardseed, then the other two.

Titania was an instant favourite but god damn the first time I healed it, was stressful as fuck. Gotta give props to Sophie too for sticking to BLM gang while doing all these fights blind, probably the hardest job to learn new fights on.

The name of this trial (dancing plague) is actually a reference to something that happened in history. Basically in the 18 or 1700s (I don't remember) there was a mushroom that caused hysteria which made people dance forever until they died.

6 Seconds summs up my expirience with Mentors. For thos who dont know getting one of those Crowns beside you name is some what of a grind it self and people with it are supose to give sprouts a helping hand, things like explaining bosses or mechanic in a specific chat for new player. 99% of players with that crown ether dont really deserve it because they can´t teach shit or worse they are a******* in dungeons and ask "why are we doing single pulls?" while in a group with a sprout healer and tank" But Titania is a great boss and fun fight I think.

Don't know if you get to it later on in the video, but just thought I'd call it out - the pixies of the fae actually don't use he or she. Idk if you noticed, but when Feo Ul talks about Titania, they always use the 'they' pronouns for them. It's quite neat, showing that the fae don't really use the gender that we mortals do! (King is a gender-neutral title for them.) (Please don't just yell 'ha ha sjw' in reply, thanks, I'm pointing out something that I found neat about the place lore.)

Faeries in FFXIV are genderless. Historically, male was used as the gender neutral term in English. It makes sense.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional to mess with gender expectations of the player since the fae are genderless. Gender swapping also has precedence in the FF universe, as Shiva is a male deity in Hinduism, but represented as a goddess of ice in the FF universe.
