Hans Holzel really was an artist ahead of his time, bringing politics into his music, being at the forefront of music styles, when Europe (apart from the UK) was'nt even a force in music. For example, look how progressive and inclusive this video is, from ethnicity, to differently abled, to sub genres of fashion,.. he really showed in a visual way how music unites us all. For being released in 1986, this music and video production looks and sounds in style like something produced in the mid 90's. His humour always struck me as a mixture of dark Viennese, and dark, self parodying British. I 'get' Falco, as a Brit, because Europeans are united in some very old histories and common cultural quirks. His humour and politics were a huge part of his music, and he had the knack of making music and performing seem easy, which I'm sure it was'nt. A very empathetic spirit, great musical ability, and charismatic. Under appreciated in his own lifetime, I'm always happy to praise his work and give him the flowers he should have had in life. Beautiful work, Mr Holzel. :)
