I use almost every plugin out there ... i've been using Falcon for years & it is still today the best plugin i have ... the real steam engine ... the ease of use, the sound, the modulations etc etc makes it the most innovative plugin out there ...

Same here. It's pretty much my go to. Can't wait to see what they come up with for Version 3.0.

I am totally new to music production, and I am glad I tried out this hybrid Synth. Some people on the music forum I regularly go to learn stuff were not particularly impressed with it. But I can't think of anything better Falcon; not Omnisphere, not Serum, not Halion 6, not Kontakt! I don't even do sound design. I am perfectly satisfied with the presets, the sound quality, fast loading and the immediate option to change the parameters
@arcticfoxstudios2018 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Falcon was the first VST that I spent a lot of money on, and I'm glad I took the time to really research it. I don't have very many UVI libraries that go unused for long periods of time. Kontakt libraries on the other hand...

Dang!! Stop tempting me. I just bought the RA Lo-Fi bundle based upon your demo weeks ago, as well as got a great deal on DS Thorn ($10 with a coupon). Because I don't have enough sound possibilities with my existing 120 softsynths, now I have to get Falcon. Seriously, though, nice little demo. Thanks for sharing. Callouts are a nice touch!
@arcticfoxstudios20182 жыл бұрын
Lol, I know. 10 years ago, a lot of the softsynths were just ok. Now, it seems like they all are pretty dang good. Seriously though, Falcon is really a powerhouse if you like sound design. The possibilities are staggering, although the learning curve is steeper than most.

It's kinda silly how few preset bundles are out there for falcon, while there are masses for serum or diva..
@arcticfoxstudios20182 жыл бұрын
Yeah. There should be more. I was never a big fan of the original presets either. They have improved greatly over the last few years though.

how is this thing CPU wise? It's clear we're in a phase were software synths not only rival hardware synths but surpass it, so it comes down to your own tastes as to what softsynth to choose (or buy a lot of them, which is what I do haha) . Phaseplant , while sounding amazing, seems taxing on processing power. What is your experience, when you would use it in a project with other things going on?

It's good on cpu u can do as much as your cpu can handle but it's low on cpu
@arcticfoxstudios20182 жыл бұрын
It's pretty good except for one or two of the effects. There is a specific distortion effect that can get CPU hungry. I used to run it on a higher end Intel 7 chip from about 8 years ago with 16 gig of ram and it was fine.

Does it have Jupiter and Prophet sounds
@arcticfoxstudios20182 жыл бұрын
Not in the factory set. You can buy add-ons though to get all the classic sounds. One of the more popular ones is Vintage Vault 4 which is kind of an all inclusive vintage synth package. It literally has dozens and dozens of classic synths, including multiple Roland and Prophet models.
@JuicySoundzz2 жыл бұрын
Sure thing, check out JP Legacy, PX P10 and Vector Pro which are included in Vintage Vault 4 as mentioned by Artic Fox Studios. Also check out Synth Anthology 3.

This synth has waveform editing now?
@arcticfoxstudios2018 Жыл бұрын
I don't believe that it does, but I could be wrong. Even though I use Falcon a lot, it's so deep, I only probably use 60% or 70% of its capacity.

Yeah, it has some quirks for sure. I use it a ton, so it's second nature to me, but it does have a decent learning curve.
