They won the game 2 with beni on Bruno. they thought they could handle bruno , so they open Bruno for game 3, 4. But it didn't turn out well. So they banned it. Brusko said it himself.

They continue giving Beni his Bruno after they beat it in G2, eventually Beni's Bruno gonna take a win, it didn't help that G3 & G4 was complete draft gap on top of Bruno. Good thing they banned it out in G5 and game becomes easy again.

Yeah as you can see onic is like trying something new without respecting the enemy heroes like bruno and phoveus to see the limit of their strats when it comes to not banning the enemy comfort hero. Also showcasing other heroes like akai and yuzhong seems a little bit too risky for them but they pick it against a phoveus if its work then its work if its not then its not
