I've had trouble with losing tightness, elbow pain, bicep strain, and shoulder pain as well. I tried this grip and I immediately felt relive.

I had a lot of wrist pain squatting, my training partner showed me this grip and it really helped. I keep it closer and lock my late in much better as well now. I’ve made my biggest squats this way.

I have to put straps around the bar and hold them or hold the weights that have holes. I’m gonna try this next time

I switched to hands all the way out and falcon grip about a year ago. I'm only about 270 now, but it feels way better on my elbows. I used to assume it was benching that did it....turns out the squats were killing them

Not a big guy (tall and skinny af lol) but am experiencing elbow pain with squatting - I tried a wide grip once and the bar didn’t feel stable or locked into my back at all. Going to try again and maybe start with lower weights until it feels safe

Do you have to take a really wide grip in order to use this grip effectively?

Not necessarily. It can be done to relieve elbow pain with any width grip

I remember you used to deal with the elbow pain while you benched. Do you think the grip helped you with that as well? I’m squatting in the mid 7’s & benching in the upper 4’s and dealing w the elbow pain only when benching, if it matters & i use the falcon grip every time I squat

Absolutely, the pain while benching was from the pain from squatting

I had elbow issues with benching never squats… I started warming up with some light tricep push downs to get the elbows warm and it helped a lot… that and using cuffs did wonders

Bro I want to ask you a question why when I bench press I got lightweight on the bar I keep my elbows tucked in but when the weight gets heavier my elbows want to flare out

Just need to get stronger and keeping the tension. Go back a few videos I just put one out how to bench properly
