It is extremely cool event, though I would consider it as intermediate and short step to BFR, as the real new era is full reusability. FH is a huge change when we look back at the old space industry, but it's very small one when we see SpaceX's plans just for the upcoming decade. FH increases cost-weight abilities up to 4 folds, whereas BFR more than 1000 folds.

Well, they actually did it today: the first operational Falcon Heavy launch, and all three boosters landed successfully. SpaceX never ceases to leave me awestruck.

On the first operational launch (Arabsat-6A), the booster did successfully land on the drone ship, but it tipped overboard on the way back due to rough seas.
