Great video going through it all. Same as @tombonini7393 said for F16v3 & F48 for chaining differential receiver boards: [26:48] [29:52] You can do more/less pixels than 341 pixels per differential board port in A+B+C chaining mode. So long as port A + B + C is not over the maximum set by banking (the slider). Same as how you have explained for the F16v4/F48v4 [27:08]. Very minor thing; F48 max is 1022 pixels per port, since the F48 permanently has 3 banks connected and a bank must be configured for at least 1 pixel. Max of 1024 @ 20fps, can be changed. There's a secret menu in the v3, v4 and v5 Falcon's to adjust many parameters. Not something I suggest for people to play with. But that is how the controller can run a high fame rate like 100fps for those who dare 🤪.

Thank you for all this information! I never knew about the secret menu, how do you get to it? Now I want to take a look at it since I know about it haha 😂

Thank you for creating these videos on receivers....they're incredibly helpful! If you're using two SRX1 receivers chained together and they're assigned ports 13-16, does that mean that you can no longer use ports 13-16 on the board of the F16vv4?

Are you connecting the receivers to one of the built-in receiver outputs on the controller? If you are, then yes ports 13-16 will be disabled on the board and the signal will instead be sent to the receivers.

@@How2Pixel If built-in port one uses 13-16, what ports does built-in port two use? or is that 13b- 16b. I have over 1000 pixels each on two different differential boards. Do I need an expansion board?

HELLO, I GOT A QUESTION ON FPP AND THE NETWORK. LAST YEAR I WAS USING WIFI AND IT WASN'T RELIABLE, SO THIS YEAR IM GOING TO USE HARD WIRE. I RAN THE WIRE FROM MY ONE ROOM WHERE THE ROUTER WAS AND RAN IT TO WHERE I HAVE MY SHOW SETUP.MY REAL QUESTION IS WHEN I WAS USING WIFI I RAN A RJ45 FROM MY PI TO THE SWITCH OUTSIDE. HOW CAN I GET THIS TO WORK NOW SEEING I GOT THE RJ45 FROM MY ROUTER TO MY PI? THANKS BOB

So sorry for the late response, I was out of town so I wasn't paying attention to comments. What you could do now is instead of running the RJ45 from your router to your pi, run it from your router to the switch. Then connect another cable from the switch to your pi. Now the pi can have an ethernet connection and still communicate with any devices connected to the switch. Hope this helps!

You are incorrect on the F48 Ver 3 as far as cascading remotes. It does not force you to allocate an equal number of pixels to each port. It works exactly the same way as the Ver 4 and 5 but with less total pixels and only allowing for 3 boards per string. It does use the weird sliders in the configuration where you need to set the total pixels per port for each bank and every port on that bank will have the same maximum number of pixels but you can allocate whatever number of pixels on each cascaded port that you want to as long as the total doesn't exceed the port maximum. I know this because this is my primary controller and has been for many years. For example, I have port 7a configured for 66 pixels and port 7b configured for 440 pixels and the bank containing that port is configured for 510 pixels and it works as expected. If I were to drop the bank maximum to below 506, both of the port 7 entries light up red indicating that I have exceeded the maximum. What you said may have been the case when the cascading protocol first came out but it is no longer the case now.

Thanks so much for the information! I had heard and seen from other examples before that it forced you to divide them up equally, but maybe like you said that was when the controller first came out.
