Well in the original sighting video Herobrine never really acts anything like those other videos instead he acts just like what the noob adventures shows, not really killing anybody mainly just being mysterious

I like to imagine that Herobrine is a benevolent spirit in this canon. A kind hearted being who sends players on the right path. After all he did send snake towards the treasure room, and helped out Noobly in his time of need.

As for Snake losing his memory, well let’s just say supernatural mobs and specter don’t have control over some power they possess, perhaps by leading Snake into the right he accidentally touched him and glitched his brain by accident.

just my personal take but perhaps they might have a different "accent" from one another? i'd imagine both villages are thousands of blocks apart and are very isolated from one another, so it's not out of reason for them to sound different when speaking

The most significant change with this episode is the look of the zombie villagers: They wore green tunics that changed to brown when cured in the original, which was consistent with zombie villagers at the time of release, but now they are always brown, which matches current villagers and zombie villagers. The villagers have also had the size of their heads increased slightly. (Also, plains-biome leather worker villagers don't wear hats, I checked.) The odd detail here, however, is how these two villagers apparently live in the Badlands biome, home of savannah villagers as seen in episode 19, but these two are a leather worker and an unemployed villager from the plains biome. The best explanation is that they spent a loooooong time as zombie villagers to have wandered so far, and the fate of the native villagers from that village is unknown.

[SPOILER ALERT FOR ALL NEW COMERS!!] This episode leaves many questions that unfortunately go unanswered for the rest of the series. What did Herobrine do to Snake? Why doesn’t snake remember any of it? What stopped Herobrine from attacking Fart? Why did he take farts bow than leave it for NOOBly? Im guessing it was to create mystery to the community made lore of herobrine but i was hoping we would get an explanation soon.

Last one was explained in an old Q&A, basically they wanted herobrine to be different from the usual showcase, so had him as an unseen helper

It is the fact that in the old versions of Singleayer Minecraft, before villagers and pets, you were alone in the vastness of the world, the fear sets in when you think you are not alone, but actually being watched from a distance. You may never encouter him, but from somewhere, he watches
