Me neither , and I totally understand having a backlog in busy season if short staffed , however I heard , allegedly , the department this year didn’t employ any more clerical staff but has employed several more enforcement officers …

I was told by a European breeder that the US government is known to string you along including paying non refundable fees , only to refuse to allow to bird to enter . So being good and jumping through the hoops won’t work anymore . Death by paperwork.
