Bro APBREN is so weak when Flap got shut down in the early game. I remember MPL ph final Echo vs Bren, Bren lost cuz they banned Flap's heroes and Flap got completely shut down. Now again with Assassins SRG picked Flap again and again so that they can't battle srg later. Flap is a monster when it comes to fight so it's the best way to pick up Flap if you want to win against BREN.

Because it's still meta. But I think they ignored the fact that in this kind of fight it is 'an eye for an eye'. If the opposite has assasin, your team should also have assasin. And the dmg carry heroes (mm & mage) won't stand a chance against assasin 1 v 1, assassin just need to lock on the dmg carry to win the game.
