I do have an honest question to the fans who have followed the This is War series so far. Maybe someone can give me a decent answer. Why is it that everyone has become so fixated on whether or not someone sounds like the champion they're rapping as, to determine whether or not the content itself is good? Nobody had that problem in TiW1, when the concept of "a song about Faction v Faction" was first being explored. That's my only issue about TiW2. The song was good, but the label and standards everyone is forcing on it after its released really bothers me. I truly don't understand it. Cause now, the standards are if someone doesn't sound like a champ then the verse stinks. By that logic, Riot might as well just start paying songwriters to have their voice actors make pen music for them and leave us out. Not only that, but don't you think you're limiting the series to a small box with that mindset? At this rate, it'll just be voice actors writing raps and burning themselves out trying to do entire faction raps to the point the content will deteriorate and Falconshield will just drop the series completely. tl;dr Why so fixated on voice acting in a song, as opposed to a song just being a song.

The way I see it, as someone who is bothered (not greatly mind you, but still bothered) by voices that don't match their characters'... Well it's kind of hard to put into words, but it's like, an immersion thing? (Sort of?) Basically, this series is about characters from the League of Legends rapping it out, so it's weird when suddenly a character doesn't sound like that character. And while I don't expect pinpoint accuracy with every voice, at least something close to the original voice is. As someone who plays Mao Kai, it kinda sucks when his part comes on and it isn't him rapping out the lines. Actually my biggest issue with Mao's verse is that Raichu bit (feels too unrelated) and the fact that he doesn't get any direct quotes. That aside, I haven't really seen the off voices being the biggest complaint or even close to it. (heck at this point I expect 1 or 2 champs to have off voices) I feel like most people are bummed about this one because a lot of the characters had shorter parts. The energy in this one just felt like it took a while to actually build up too. And lastly, I think that Malzahar preview they released early might have hurt the release of this one. Malz was definitely one of the best verses (not to mention he was the finale) and they released him early which significantly cut the impact of his part. It was like they revealed the final boss and cutscene of a game before they'd released it.

Lucian's verse wins my vote. People are not liking it because it's lengthy. It seems fine to me. It would've been reaaaally good if Thresh were to interrupt Lucian when he talks his wife and calling Thresh a green fart cloud. The final line gives me chills down my spine.

People don't like Lucian's verse, because it wasn't even connected to the "Void vs Shadowisles" thing... Unfortunatelly, Thresh's part went alongside it. I was really hoping his (Thresh's part) to follow the same theme as Elise, being a little creepy and all. Yet it was just another boring part, during which two champs just insulted each other like kids... The part i did like about Lucian's verse was "I've gotten buffed now i dash causing mad hype..." and the one following it, though i'm not 100% sure if it's the verse or just the music in the background. Other than that, Lucian was unnecessary... He is neither from Shadowisles nor from the Void.

Thanks Falconshield for more of your great work. This one didn't grab me as much as your previous entries, and I think I realized why. I watched This is War 3 part 1 just to confirm, but the beats aren't as varied in this one. There is no definitive change in tempo or bass between sections. The other thing I noticed is the amount of time each character gets to rap. This is War 3 part 1 is 2 minutes longer, but features less characters than this video. Just my 2 cents though. Thanks to everyone who worked on this video. Not the greatest, but still head and shoulders above a lot of other LoL artists.

Thresh- Pretty good, though a little too short. The line "can't juke my hooks" feels a little... off to me. Lucian- I really like it, although it feels too long. Sp4zie pulled it off really well, the length is my only problem. Karthus- Finally, Josef gets a good verse *cough*Jayce*cough* seriously though, this verse is a standout. Evelynn- Terrible. Short, forgettable, and what the hell is that Rammus reference? The only relation i see is that they're both junglers. Vel'koz- Not good. The flow is okay, the lyrics are passable, but it just doesn't feel like Vel'koz. Yorick- Pretty good, although kind of forgettable. Really good wordplay and I like the flow. Maokai- One of the best. Sky's flow is great, the lyrics are good, and I was questioning Sky as Mao when I originally heard it. Kassadin- Awful. 10 seconds long with a pointless Batman reference to boot. Malzahar- Fantastic. I love the references, the flow is amazing, and AntiRivet's voicing pulled it all together. An amazing finale, and a contender for the best verse along with Karthus and Maokai.
