Hi Jeffrey, awesome content as always🎉 I just went through onsite interviews at a FAANG and your videos have helped me immensely. My recruiter told me explicitly that interviewers would NOT focus on a specific skill set (statistics). However, my first interview was COMPLETELY focused on stats, which completely surprised me. How can I approach this issue with the recruiter without negatively impacting my chances? Thanks

@joaopaulogomes2559, this was a big theme in yesterday's live session! I strongly encourage you to provide feedback to your Recruiter as soon as possible. Make sure the tone is gentle and grateful, for example "Sue, I want to follow up with you regarding yesterday's interview. The interviewer focused entirely on statistics and I was under the impression that statistics would not be a part of this interview. I want to make sure I give myself the best opportunity to land the role, so I thought it was important to provide this feedback. Thank you so much!" Something like that, good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Jeff I've followed your videos for awhile now after getting contacted by a Google recruiter in May 24 for a brand new Data Center site (still in construction phase), went through the full interview process May 24 - Aug 24. I went through the full loop for a DCFT position and onto hiring committee. Just received news back after getting an update from my recruiter after roughly 2 weeks. He said overall the feedback was positive, however "We've filled all current spots for this quarter and It could pop up in the next few weeks, or it could be the first few weeks of Q3 when the request for X positions open up". I feel overall I nailed the interviews with your help, thank you very much for all your advice and knowledge! I know I missed a few technical questions other than that, a solid 9/10. What advice would you give for someone like myself, is there really any chance I get a call back? It appears I've went through the entire process and wasn't even considered because they've, like the recruiter said, filled all the open positions before my interview process was done. Thankyou!

@buseyx, what I have seen historically for these DC positions is that this is very common. They have good candidates pass the interviews and they fill all their headcount. These roles open up pretty often, so I still think you have a good chance! Make sure you touch base with your Recruiter every couple of weeks. Ideally, you ask them how often is appropriate to check in, but a month between check ins at the longest. Good luck and keep us posted!

@jeffhsipepi Thank you for the reply! I'll do that and to keep in contact with the recruiter. Hopefully, it works out.

I've made contact back with my recruiter. We've agreed on every two weeks I'll email him for an update. He told me about my interview performance, two Hires, two Lean Hires. He wasn't for sure if he was supposed to tell me that or not. After hearing that, I'd say chances are fairly slim for an offer when positions do open up. Jeff, what's your take on that with that given info?
@jeffhsipepi2 ай бұрын
@@buseyx I am glad he gave you the info, overall, these are good scores, they are all recommending hire, so I strongly recommend following up every two weeks, it is a good plan! Good luck and keep us posted!

A lot of regulation through the euro commission (Brussels), so not surprised EMEA hiring is slow
