My 2 brothers and I grew up on a farm. We had this huge wraparound porch with 3 porch swings and several chairs. My dad would let us sleep out on the porch during a rainstorm, as long as there wasn't a lot of lightning. we would all get our sleeping bags and head for a swing. The wind would keep the swing moving and the rain lulled us to sleep. We never knew until we were grown how mom and dad both would sleep in the living room so they could see out the windows to watch us. Growing up in a town of less than 400 people, there was no crime and those were literally, the best days of my life. This sound definitely takes me back. Thank you!

I normally listen to these types of videos to fall asleep since i have bad insomnia. This one i really enjoy falling asleep to specifically. Tonight i took the time to look through the comments and at the moment im in tears. The uplifting comments are so kind and sweet and made me smile. Its been really hard for me lately and to top it off i recently fell ill. So things havent been all that great. Im normally a very happy and smiley person, but some days i wouldnt smile at all. Barely speak. Barely eat. And keep to myself. And my mom was getting very worried. But reading these comments have helped me start to feel a bit better. And i thank all of you. Those that i can relate to and those that posted uplifting things. All of you. I hope i can be relatable and uplifting as well. No matter who you are, no matter what you're going through you are not alone. You are amazing and so many people love and care about you and you may not even know it. This video just went off, and I realized I'd slept through a peaceful night of listening - and continued listening - for hours after I awoke. How peaceful - how calming - how very pleasant it's made my day. The Beast is in a very good place. There's a freshness to nature after having conversed with the powers of the sky throughout the night. I understand I have a voice in determining where my life takes me - and I use it often. Now to go out and enjoy the nature we are part of. By creation, we are part of all things, and all things (most things) accept us and respect us when we respect them and their given place. Respect the space give to any creature - human being - or not. We have a sacred space we call our own - so do all things.

This sound is great.it takes me to a place were I'm seeing the trees move back and forth from the force of the wind and rain and I can feel every drop as I stand in the rain with my hands up to the sky it's beautiful

When it use to pour down raining heavily I tried to get as close to the open window at home and just smell the rain. Lay my head against the window frame and let it take my mind into a wonderful nice peace and quite place. Now I just open the front door sit in my cozy chair or sofa and enjoy the sound. Hoping I don’t doze off which I would.

As soon as the rainstorm and thunder began, I would run out of the house and hang out on the porch. It was just an amazing experience. As my 75 year old self trys to remember the 5 year olds feeling, I believe it was a sense of wonderment and of being one with, and embraced by, nature.
