I always like throwing lipless cranks, Lucky Craft LV-500 around rocks. Lakes and rivers, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you use them consistently around rocks. Have they not worked for you or is it that there is too much grass?
@GregBlanchardFishing Жыл бұрын
Too much grass right now but early spring and then in the winter when the grass dies off seems to be when they shine on the delta

Awesome video dude!!, I’m new to kayak fishing and it’s been an adjustment. Seeing you use rods upward to 7’5ft blows my mind. For some reason my 7ft rods feel like I’m using a street sign. Obv big adjustment going from bank to yak, anyone else feel like this?
@GregBlanchardFishing Жыл бұрын
Haha funny you say that as that's exactly how I felt when I went from 7 footers to 7'5'' and up but now definitely have preference in having both with certain techniques

Thank you for including a setup breakdown! Not the most exciting part of your vids... lol, I much prefer the 'on the water" action... but keeping us informed on what tackle you use, and for what situations they're good for, is really helpful!

Before I even watch, i'm going to say that the size of the Chappo is more about sound frequency than size. If you have the right size in hand on the right day, you'll get a lot of bites. I don't necessarily think it changes the size of catches. My two cents :-)

@@GregBlanchardFishingparticularly on the Delta you need to dedicate an entire trip or two and just glue it in your hand. Once you gain confidence in it you will always have it in the line up. I do very well with it in NC. Anyway, long time viewer. I literally said out loud when you intro’d Sponge. “No way he throws it!” 😂 Keep up the great work! Tight lines!

Do you think switching different lures for different lakes is scientifically legitimate? We all do it but I feel for every lure I don’t use because “it doesn’t work on that lake”, there is a another person who thinks it’s “the deal” 🤷🏻♂️
@GregBlanchardFishing Жыл бұрын
Haha fair point and I think it's just I have more confidence in certain baits on certain bodies of water right now. The change in lures is honestly more based on the Type of fishery above anything else like shallow grass vs deep/clear
@pdfahie Жыл бұрын
@@GregBlanchardFishing my dilemma is I prefer throwing certain lures more than others and often try fitting square peg into round hole 🤷🏻♂️🤣
