Love the wreath. I really like burlap wreaths, but since I'm a quilter/sewer/fabricaholic, I also have a lot of fabric, so I've made 3 rag wreaths (so far), and watching your tutorial, I was thinking, why couldn't you also make this wreath with layer cakes (10" squares). Thank You for sharing, you are very creative, and easy to listen to.

You said you were getting a allergy to burlap....well, there's many fibers in burlap. Some have severe reactions. It can affect one's breathing, especially if they have asthma. I think it's a good idea to always use a mask when messing with burlap. Especially, when you cut it. Kat, from Kat's Creation, taught me the safe way to work with burlap. Also, some cut their deco mesh with a wood burner to prevent frays. And, if one has time, and, does not want frays with their mesh, they can always use a wood burner. I have one and it has changed my life, as far as messing with deco mesh. I use the wood burner on the cheap mesh. When using a wood burner, make sure there's some ventilation. Deco mesh is plastic after all. Learned that from Kat, from Kat's Creation, as well. She is also a very good teacher. She never over does her wreaths. I've seen some beautiful wreaths, and by the time some add too many bows----well, you know what I mean, I'm sure. You're one a great teacher. This wreath is so VERY beautiful!! I have subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to future tutorials from you!

Beautiful! I am the lone crafter who does not enjoy working with hot glue, so this is right down my alley! About sensitivity to the burlap, it is likely all the chemicals on the burlap that is irritating to you. I wonder if latex or vinyl gloves would help? Thanks for sharing!

You have just saved my sanity ! I've been looking for a method to put burlap on, along with flowers and ribbon ( sunflowers in this case ) and everything I saw was the normal pull through ruffle and I just didn't want that and didn't figure it would look like I wanted. This method is exactly what I was looking for. I had the idea to cut the burlap and do the ruffles like you did, but I wanted to see someone else do it so I would know if it was gonna look right. it does !!!! THANK YOU !

I think mine will be super cute also and easy to change for the seasons.

Hello Maymay, I ran across your video about the burlap ruffle wreath. I notice you use the 9 in burlap. Is it possible to use 5 inch to do the same project. If not I will get the 9 inch and use the 5 for another wreath, but I like the way you did this. My Aunt wants a wreath and I thought this would be good for her to keep all year round using different colors (some warm and cool colors. I thought she might like this instead of the deco mesh poof wreath. I viewed your channel because Tracy from gift basket appeal mentioned you in some of her videos. Thank you for sharing your ideas and creations.

you can do it, the only thing that will change is the center of you wreath will not be as open, the larger mesh will fill in the middle more. But I say go for it, it should be just fine!
