He said his brother was caught looking at porn on the computer the evening before.Perhaps it was the 15 year old & he didn’t like the embarrassment or punishment or both that being caught represented. If they were a member of a Church there is a bigger chance of the story getting out & him being a sinner by the elders & then a laughing stock at school. Who knows , a spanking or restriction isn’t enough to kill your whole family over the young man must have had some deep mental health issues.

I wouldn't be surprised the motive he gave for his brother supposedly doing the crime, might actually be his motive. Maybe he got caught, and this was the extreme way to get out of it. Either way, he went around to make sure everyone was dead. He lied to the authorities and tried to pin his actions on his brother. He deserves to be tried as an adult, regardless of his actual motive.

The cops had never been called to the home in the past. The kid had no criminal history and nothing on the parents in terms of abuse or drug use. Please continue to cover this case next year as it progresses.

I’m new to the channel. I think you did a very good job presenting this case. No hype or melodrama despite the horrific nature of the crime. I wonder why the alleged offender had access to a gun and ammunition. I also wonder if indications-“red flags”- for potential violence were overlooked or not taken seriously enough. Oh man.. I've avoided watching anything yet. Including the news. Reading it is hard enough. But I respect you, and how caring you do these, so I'm going to watch. Rest in peace each of you.. My heart is truly broken. **EDIT** Just looking at the house now is devastating. That use to be one of the most warm and safe homes I've ever been in. Sarah (mom) was found in the master bedrooms attached bathroom. It was obvious from evidence, she was fighting after trying to hide.. The fear they all I know they had that morning is still too hard to face.

The father was in the tech industry, maybe a software developer. The pistol was in a lock box by the front door curiously and the 15 year old had the code. No other kids had the code. Guessing the dad gave the oldest the code in case someone broke in to the house and no one else was home?

I was watching the new updates on iG from Steve & Brandon in WA. Fuckin wild. I lived in Seattle almost my entire life & never heard of falls but i was like holy shit.. The mother was killed in the master bathroom and the door was broken in from the outside. So, the mom heard what was going on or knew her child had issues and was trying to hide/survive. Such a tragic loss of lives , the number of killings is rare thankfully. Really feel for the survivor after going through the shootings and then losing her family.

Well that's the baseline that they have is 25 yrs to life but because it was so egregious and because it was 5 people, my guess is he would get life (if he is of course is found guilty).

Son killed mother and father in Falls city Oregon. Thought that was the crime you were talking about for a minute! FYI the son in the Oregon case drove his moped 15 miles to his parent’s home, killed his father with a scythe, then beat his mother to death with a lead pipe. Very weird case

It was owned by his father and his father gave him the code to the lock box. After it happened, a reporter stated the box was near the front door in case the father needed it for work. Which seems odd because the dad had a job in the tech industry. Not the career where you typically conceal carry a weapon.

Cannot imagine the parents’ pain and horror at having their eldest son, a child they raised and protected and trusted (he was the only one given the combination to the gun lockbox) to lead the family in their stead as the eldest all their lives, betray them like this, coming after them with their own gun and they could not protect their other children. He even broke down the bathroom door to kill his already wounded mother, who had barricaded herself inside. Then tried to blame it all on his brother? That’s next level cruelty and betrayal.
