I started decorating for Christmas in early-mid Nov last year. My father passed away in 2022 so last year, I just wanted to really go all out. It made me feel better and it has become my happy place now. So I feel like I should wait until after Halloween at least but I don’t think I can wait until thanksgiving. 😊

I loved the pumpkin tablescape but l love it in the cabinet even more!! The porch looks great. I can’t believe you purchased those baskets for 1.00 each!!! Semi funny neighbor story. Years ago, I purchased my home and moved in a week before Thanksgiving. I was living in North Georgia at that time and it was starting to get cold and no one was outside. Fast forward to spring and everyone started coming out to work in their yards. One Saturday morning I was working in my yard and noticed my neighbor had come out to cut his grass. Nothing unusual except that he was extremely overweight and had a huge belly. But, what caught my eye was this very overweight guy was in a speedo with no shirt on. I was so shocked that someone would come outside looking like that, I had to go into my garage so that I wouldn’t get caught staring him. It was like watching something that I know I shouldn’t but I couldn’t help myself. I soon realized that this would become his grass cutting outfit. Then after some time I realized he was losing weight and that speedo was looking better and better!!!

When you asked about start times for decorating for Christmas, I live in Canada so one thing I am grateful for is our Thanksgiving is in October so I decorate for fall and Halloween September and October and November /December is Christmas. We don’t get a lot of trick or treaters so I usually start decorating my living room tree on Halloween while shelling candies. I NEVER put Christmas outside until after Remembrance Day which I decorate for outside as well. It takes me 2 weeks to do my inside Christmas decorations so I start early to enjoy the season. Love your channel. It’s been so nice watching you in your new home.

Maybe next year I think the pumpkins “table scape” would be pretty on top of your china cabinet. I love how you decorate everything. I was saying to myself just the one plant looks squished in there. It was a little hard to see sometimes through the glass just on camera I think there may be a film on the inside of the glass doors. They look like they need a good cleaning. You know how some times new stuff comes like that. I noticed this when you showed the cabinet in the other video. But then you’ll be able to see inside better. I would definitely utilize the top of that beautiful cabinet for decor since your ceilings so high it def draw the eye up. When I saw you add a piece on top I said to myself there you go. I was thinking to myself there’s no way they can leave that table scape there with little kids. How would you eat. Lol. I’m glad you did it just for the looks lol. You are very crafty with your decor ideas I love how you just go with it. The wreath came out nice. (Still watching can’t wait to see how porch comes out). It came out beautiful. I wanted to tell you those tall real looking greenery stems looks so good next to the mirror by the fireplace. Love how you aren’t afraid to go big A lot of times ppl put these tiny things out and it doesn’t fit the space. Your house is really coming along. Can’t wait for the next one!

I decorate for Christmas right after Halloween Christmas is my favorite time of the year so I can enjoy it longer and my son always want the tree up for thanksgiving

Im Canadian so there is quite a bit of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Inside is not decorated until the beginning of December or very end of November, keeping in mind Advent. When we had a real tree it was December 15th ish before we set it up. Our Daughter's birthday is Dec 12th, when our girls were children we celebrated her birthday first and then we'd start getting ready for Christmas after that. Those were crazy busy years. Outside gets decorated with lights around Thanksgiving, mid October, when the weather is a bit milder, but not turned on until after Rememberance Day. You have a great eye and i love your decorating videos thanks for sharing!

In the uk I used to live in an area where Halloween and xmas were not really celebrated so not many homes decorated. I have now moved and I love going for walks and seeing the effort people go to. I don’t bother with Halloween as my boys are adults but xmas decorations go up first weekend in dec. I think you have done a beautiful job it looks amazing, especially the porch ❤

Funny neighbour story. When my neighbours now of over 20 years moved in the lady said ‘hi I’m x this is y pointing to her husband, don’t bother getting to know him, he’s going to die!’ I choked hi I’m j and this is my daughter h. (H wondered if she was going to poison him) Good news despite his health issues (he’s a Vietnam Veteran) he’s alive and well. We’re good neighbours and I’ve reminded her that was how she introduced us to them. We had a good laugh.

Love watching your channel! Neighbors story! When I was teenager my Daddy was mowing the yard. When he was cleaning up the trash that had blown in the yard. He found a polaroid picture 🤣 of the woman across the street in her bathroom wearing ONLY a towel on her head! 🤣🤣 My Daddy came in the house laughing and yelling for my Mom! Debbie what do I do?!! Do I take it back to her and say I think you lost this!? He end up burning it.. But a couple days later when he was outside. She came over asking him about something in the neighborhood.🤣 Daddy said he had the hardest time looking her in the face!!! 🤣 All he could think was!! I saw a picture of you naked!!!

I decorate in late October for Christmas, then I sit back and enjoy it for 2 months 😂😂😂 I’ve never seen a reed diffuser that big! Where did you get it?

I just cleaned my kitchen up before watching videos. It was a disaster. My husband commented on how full both the sinks were. I have a farmhouse sink. But there’s two instead of one. I wish it was just one sink. So I loaded the dishwasher with everything I could. Then finished the rest by hand. Those sticks you put in the bottle is a reed diffuser. My husband is sensitive to any scents. So I have nothing like that in my home. I tried to buy a small flower on top of some water and you put essential oil in it with the water. And he found it. So I still have the thing. It just doesn’t have any water or oil in it. The wreath is nice. I’m going to see if I can find my fall wreath. I know I used to have one. I’m not sure where it could be. The baskets turned out great.

When we moved in our home it was in July in the Midwest the temp was around 102, and everything that could go wrong went wrong however when we pulled up with a U-Haul we were unloading 2 small kids hot and bored lol. The neighbor on the left of our home came outside never introduced himself pulled me away from the moving truck and pointed out exactly where his yard began and where I was allowed to mow as to not effect the lines in his grass when I look back I find the humor but when I was living it I just wanted to load the truck back up and leave he was very attached to his yard lol. The neighbor on the right was not friendly at all come to find out the people that were on that lot before has 6 wild children, did not pay utilities etc and when they saw my children just assumed they were delinquent animals it was awful. Then in the middle of running in and out of the house my Shi-zu jumped out of a large high pick up truck and hurt her hip so looking like a drowned rat with sweat I had to rush her to the vet, I guess I looked stressed out the vet gave her a shot and told me to finish moving and he would keep the dog for awhile. I have not even thought of moving again have been here 30 years never again. However I did survive the neighbors and love my home, my fur baby came home. Love your home take care. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
