There is in fact quite a bit of BS (bro science) in his videos, and he admits it himself. For example, the idea of not counting protein if it doesn't have a large amount of all 12 essential amino acids is absolutely ridiculous to anyone who has even just the slightest bit of education into the matter. Having less of one amino acid makes something an "incomplete" protein but they still contain all 12 essential amino acids, most of them in very high amounts. It definitely contributes to muscle protein synthesis.

You know what’s interesting? Sam attributes his skin clearing up from the Accutane treatment he did but I can almost guarantee it’s due to him cutting the sugars out of his diet for the cut. When I cut sugars it completely got rid of my eczema and cleared my skin up within weeks. Him not taking down boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch anymore absolutely had a positive effect on his skin. I’m sure the accutane didn’t hurt but I’d bet the house on the majority of the benefits being from sugar cutting. I love these full day of eating videos by the way. Much love to everybody out there putting in the work like our boy too!
@thatdudefrom7118 Жыл бұрын
Thank you Sam I mean it you’ve actually completely changed my outlook and training style for the better. So many times in the fitness industry do you see people breaking down the nitty gritty science of EVERY. SINGLE. MOVEMENT. Saying “no no no you have to hit the lateral medial deltoid with the trunk of your body stabilized at precisely 45.33 (repeating of course) degrees with an emphasis on the humerus being proximal to the body and the radius and ulna in a neutral to slightly supinated position and if you don’t do it exactly like this and consume exactly 42 grams of whey protein approximately every 2 hours YOURE GONNA LOSE YOUR GAINS”. It just feels so overwhelming sometimes and sams pearls of wisdom are just “Bro just absolutely destroy your muscles and eat as much protein as you can” and it’s great so thank you man seriously 😂
@rebel4466 Жыл бұрын
Difficult thing though. Eating should always be an exact science. His body just has unnatural mass and therefore different needs than yours. Very good technical execution of exercises and knowing what you're looking for will help especially when you're older and injury becomes a thing to think about. Just don't take anything as an absolute must for every single set. With some exercises, you just won't maximize the possible outcome if you're doing them wrong/bad. But exercising is pretty much better than not exercising. Keeping it fun and reasonably safe is most important. Don't PR bench press in an empty gym for example lol

Hey dude... in case you do wanna learn more about this... your body mixes and matches the protein that you have in order to build muscle. If you eat a bunch of turkey (which is a complete protein) and wheat buns (incomplete protein), your body still uses all the protein within wheat. Aside from meats, eggs, and dairy, the foods that contain all 9 amino acids includes soy, quinoa and buckwheat. For that reason, soy and buckwheat are the major ingredients in most vegan protein supplements. Also, the combination of beans, rice and corn all together gives you all 9 essential amino acids.

Just add 200 calorie intervals each time you plateau on the scales, just slamming 1000+ calories onto your diet is going to increase the amount of fat you gain and ultimately limit your progress on your 'bulking' period as you'll eventually struggle to keep increasing calories and hit your cap sooner.

mad respect to sam i mean he probably makes tons of moeny from KZbin and could easily stop going to classes and stuff and just upload and be chillin the spare time but hes just insane i cant even learn math for an hour and im soo bad with it like i hate school so much that i dont giove a shit anymore if i get it or not and i just go to gym everyday. I should be way more productive and maybe because of sam my mind is getting changed about trying to finish school and at least learn maths cause tbh im just stupid and got 0 points in my last exam

Slow down your loss a bit. 6 lbs in 2 weeks is a lot, if you're not a very thicc guy. Unless you're doing keto or similar low carb stuff and you're losing water like crazy. 1-2 lbs per week is a good target to aim for. Takes a bit longer, but it's more sustainable

As selfish and weird as it sounds, I love seeing friends or people that i know that I haven't seen in a year, and them seeing my change in physique kinda makes me happy and proud lol. Plus, people treat you differently (better) the more muscular you look. Especially at work. I get way more respect from being a muscular guy that goes to the gym everyday than a skinny or fat guy thags outta shape.
