Emília is adorable! What a pretty little girl. I loved the pix of her at a year. They’re both great ages! And you did great! You got a whole bunch of stuff out! The only tip I can offer is to do that while she’s at the baby sitter or with daddy, or asleep. Things never look as good as when they’re in our hands. Because we make even boring dumb toys great. And some toys we want to interact. But most toys we just want and need them to play by themselves. So everything you see her do that with, buy another one that’s similar. If it requires you to sit right next to her and animate it, that needs to be culled unless you enjoy it too. And try rotating toys, you have those green plastic tubs on the shelf in her closet. Just fill two or three of them up. Out of sight out of mind. Then, while she’s napping or gone, dump them and refill with other things. Like once a month. Old things will seem like brand new again. And you’ll get back twice as much time as it takes (or more) while she’s rediscovering her old things a month later. Honestly, motherhood is a lot of trying to keep your child engaged so that you can do important things. Like making meals, beating the filth back, brushing your teeth, taking a deep breathe. It’s not so we can go shopping at Nordstrom and stop on our way home for drinks and dinner. So NO GUILT! Hope you have a great Sunday!

Nice work cleaning 🎉 I like your response that you’re going to give the other parents when they ask you that you’re doing the Christmas party thing.

She’s a lucky little girl. I was thinking there’s not that many toys until you showed us the rest of the house. Well yes you definitely like to buy toys. Rotating toys only keeps more than kids need. Do you really need another task? Keep decluttering it gets easier but not with the little under foot.

Hi Megan, I have no toddlers by a long shot. 😂 I have 4 sons, no girls.. But, I watched and am commenting to boost the algorithm! You have an infectious personality and I just enjoy listening to you reason with yourself. ❤

🤦♀ I do all the same stuff for my daughter and she's 23 years old... thank goodness there are no toys though! She has the same Executive Functioning issues that I had at her age times two, as my mom used to do everything for me too. It's been a busy weekend doing 4 large loads of laundry that she said over and over that she would do plus washing all her bedding and switching to a warmer set and comforter. I'm always hopeful that she'll be able to stay on top of it after I do these resets but it's never happened before so... I should've put her in Montessori school!

I’m sure you’ve heard this tip, but you can get a tote or two and take away …… Nevermind. You just said it’s not reasonable to try rotating through toys. Try rotating as you go I guess.

I’m just gonna rotate every day, all day. It’s the only solution 🤷🏻♀️

@@MillennialMeg loser. I rotate twice a day all day. Every day.
