Think the last basket is actually an apple basket. The large brush is for putting paste on wallpaper. Also the barber mug is to put soap in to lather up the brush for shaving. As you can tell, I am of the much older generation but still love decorating.

Yes you are right. My husband did wallpaper for years and I recognized the wallpaper brush! I have lots of those brushes!

Isn’t the barbershop mug what they would use for beard soap? It would hold the soap cake and they would swirl the lather brush in it. In the early 1900s I think the barbershop would have a communal lather mug for general shaves or a man would pay extra to have one with their name on it that was used only for them when they came in for their shave. If you had your own shave mug, it was a status symbol.

Hi Skye! I found a gourd shop on Etsy and I was able to find some beautiful gourds there. I've been looking for some for years! I've had to start Fall decorating as it takes me awhile to get it all done! I'm hoping to finish up by Labor Day weekend (maybe before, a girl can dream, right?) I just love those brown leaves...I bought 4 then went back and bought 5 more! They are the most beautiful shade of brown. Can't wait for all the Fall decorating videos! YAY!
