This is the neatest idea for a tray! My husband works at Lowes so maybe I can convince him to pick up a few of these paint stirrers, but getting him to drill the holes for the handles, well that's a different story! :) Thanks for your inspiring tutorials!

This is such a beautiful tray! I like that the insert can be changed out. You could decoupage a beautiful Christmas napkin onto another piece of plywood. Awesome DIY!

Good tip using the plastic wrap to smooth it out! The chalk paint color goes perfectly with the napkin! The handles you chose really make the tray special.

I came on here to tell you I did this today! Using your technique. My very first time! And it came out perfect! I did mine on glass water pitchers. The second one came out crumbly but i ended up loving it bc it gave the fall leaves life! I forgot to use the plastic wrap to tap it and some edges tore but I feel like it’s still perfect! Thank you so much One of the pitchers it looks like it’s etched in there!!! Oh they are gorgeous

a small sponge roller would probably be faster and less pulling strokes from the sponge brushing. I love your ideas .
