Michelle as an interior designer who hates buying seasonal “decor”, I would recommend you buy pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes from Trader Joe’s and then some pretty plants and flowers to decorate your kitchen and dining table!! So festive but you don’t feel like it’s stuff you have to store when the season is over.

I had a cup of Nespresso this morning in your cup. I just really enjoy the shape.❤ I also ordered Almond Croissant. I used to get the chocolate coffee pod but it just wasn’t really what I wanted. How do you like the peanut & sesame? We cleaned up my yard and flower gardens in preparation for the cooler weather. I got frost this morning so the cold is well on its way. We’re very lucky here in that I have never watered anything here. All my plants are native and just get whatever water they need from rain. I cannot imagine the cost out there in Vegas.

Honestly every year I have a couple of fake pumpkins and then I just get like 6 mid to small size pumpkins and put them around the house and call it good it brings the Autumn feel in the orange in and it's something I don't have to worry about keeping or storing throw it away at the end of the year

What about stringing the more colorful leaves up the banister, skipping their lights and letting the acorns do the lighting there? Also - zip ties are your friends! Long ones would make a quick job of securing the leaves and acorns to the banister -and less fuss to remove later. Rather than unwinding, you could just snip them off.

Michelle, I am also an expert on surviving on severe water restrictions. You soon get the hang of the times that you're allowed to water with a watering system compared to using a hose or simply a watering can. There are some terrific techniques that involve dripping water to the roots of individual plants by inserting a 'carrot-like' plastic spike that contains holes, then adding a large plastic bottle, (like a fruit juice container), full of water in an upside down position. These are great when away too. Being in Australia, water is always an issue, sometimes too much at once, yet often unrelenting drought. This upcoming summer will be interesting after three La Niña weather systems in a row during the last three summers. I learnt to knit when only 5yrs of age and created my first 'masterpiece', a red polo neck jumper, at only 9yrs. The only knits that I purchase are very fine ones, as I prefer to make my own from either a pattern or design something myself. I doubt I can remember how many pieces that I've made for others. Some of the world's finest wool comes from Australia and New Zealand. Many well-known luxury brands source their wool from us to use in their designs. I was wearing a mohair jumper when having to attend the ER of a nearby hospital and the doctor kept stroking my arm as he loved the feel of the mohair! I'm well acquainted with how a dog feels. As one with experience in dog training for a branch of Armed Forces, I found it rather strange to understand why you would take Butters to daycare when you are home. Dog's should always be able to occupy themselves, especially in a home of your size. We are not at their beck and call 24hrs per day to entertain them. Sure, you spend a few periods during the day dedicated to playing with them, yet should never feel obliged to occupy them yourself, especially when you have things to do. A dog needs to adapt to the lifestyle of 'the parents'. If a dog is feeling a tad down due to one being away, it should be grateful for all the attention it will now have from the one remaining. One should never over-compensate for a dog showing its emotions. Situations like this can worsen if not dealt with from the outset and it can become rather demanding. You should never feel guilty for going about your regular household duties. If a dog is spending time with you whilst going about certain activities, it's a good thing as they want to be with you. It doesn't mean that they require your attention. Just an observation. We do not celebrate Halloween in Australia, although I think the stores wish we did so that they can make more money. I doubt that your family will be all that concerned with how you decorate, yet would be more interested in seeing each other. I did like the acorn lights on your stairway banister, but those battery packs will always be an issue. Maybe you can place a small arrangement of leaves, like the ones you said you may return, each time one needs to be hidden? You could always wrap those leaves around the banister along with the acorn lights? I'm so glad I don't need to worry about decorating just prior to Christmas decorations going up! It was only on Saturday that I purchased some Christmas decorations from my local Jewellery Store who was having their annual Sale. I scored some wonderful fine jewellery pieces, but couldn't resist these beautiful decorations too. Decorations from Department Stores are often looking tacky nowadays, except from the larger stores that are mostly based in the largest cities, nowhere near where I live. Living in a rural area, I spend a considerable amount of time ordering online and keeping the delivery services in business. Thanks for allowing us a peek into your life and do hope that your plants survive and thrive.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

We have the exact same problem with heat/water in LA, including the app that the city installs to force regulation, but just add 50% to the monthly tab; I think Quince is exceptional quality for very very low prices -- love everything they sell; could Butters be any cuter? The way you gave her that ball, omg. The pet portrait of Butters is exquisite; your decor is nice, low key. We have very little up right now. I am waiting for this coming week to pass and then maybe I will feel more in the mood (or less!). 🎃🎃

Hi Michelle, I'm just catching up on your videos. I want to comment that I just received my Quince order today and immediately placed a second order (crediting your rec). The quality is wonderful for the price. Weirdly, i found that their cotton cashmere sweaters fit me better that the cashmere in the same size Med. I ordered two more cotton cashmere sweaters, a beret, baseball cap, and some cashmere socks. Their sweaters actually fit me better than Jenni Kayne which I find to be cut too wide. I know you have quite a few Jenni Kayne sweaters (I have some with price tags still on them). Since you lost weight, have you tried to have them altered and made smaller? I'm going to take them to a tailor tomorrow and see what they can do. if they can't be altered, I'm going to sell them online. I also just placed an order with Dean Davidson for the Tokyo necklace which they just restocked (and used a 15% off coupon). I need to check out the Dior mules. Is it only the Dior store that has them?

Hi Pam! It may be difficult for a tailor to take in a knitted piece. Not impossible but may end up with chunky seams. Anyway I hope it works out! I will see how they turn out. The sweaters were almost $1000 together so I felt that it was worth it to at least try. I actually found a pair of Dior loafers at Elyse Walker and bought them today. Really comfortable.

Hello Michele, Thank you for showing us your new-in knits from Quince. I really would have liked to have had the possibility to order the Double-Faced Scarf coat in cocoa ….but I‘m living in Europe and Quince don‘t ship outside of the US😢. Toteme has a similar coat but 88% wool (no merino wool) and 12% Polyester for €880 = $952🤔.
