build your self a little table off the splitter, then when you split a big log in half you can store it there and not have to pick it back off the ground, your young but it will save your back in the long run

how long will it take the wood to dry?

We try to keep a year ahead on most of our wood. But I would say a minimum of 4-6 months to dry. Thanks for watching!
