Here in the Philippines, we have the longest Christmas celebration and preparation. We start as early as September 1, and personally, I already have started decorating our house with Christmas lights and Nativity figures. So excited for this season ❤❤❤

With mums they like to be watered from the roots so it’s better to put them in a bucket or something to be watered. I just learned that 😉 I’m a homebody too! I loved Covid time lol where we could just stay home haha my husband is not like that but my daughter is like him so sometimes they get father daughter dates so that mom can stay home haha! My son is like me home body.

Hi Crystal! Can I just say I absolutely love you and your whole family! You are an amazing mom and homemaker! I've been with you since before the twins were born! I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos and everything you do! Thank you so very much! ❤ I just wanted to give you a fun tip on making pumpkin pies from an actual 🎃 pumpkin! Every year, when we carved our pumpkins, our four kids would save the seeds, and we would roast them. We also would save the eyes, nose, and mouths of the jackolanterms, and I would peel the outer orange skin off them, and I would cook the pieces on top of the stove with water until they were soft. I would drain it, and there's your pumpkin to use in your pumpkin recipes! Use it just like canned pumpkin. It's a lighter color, but believe me, the taste is amazing! You can easily freeze the rest. I also add a little salt, pepper, butter, and a little sugar to eat like a cooked butternut or acorn squash. I pre-measure the pumpkin before freezing it. That way, I know exactly how much I have if needed for a recipe.😊 Good luck! Heidi (I am from Upstate, NY . I live in Wine Country in the Fingerlakes Region. It's just absolutely beautiful here!)

I did make sweet roasted pumpkin 🎃 seeds…..Kinda like honey roasted peanuts…No honey though…Cinnamon, sugar, melted butter I used a whole stick…, vanilla, salt and some salt 🧂 sprinkled over the topping as well…It almost has a peanut brittle texture..There were seeds that coved the entire cookie sheet for measuring purposes…I kind of bake and cook by self invention…

Pumpkin pie: it’s a fun experience to do one from scratch, but in my experience the canned pumpkin version is just as good. My favorite pumpkin is from Thrive Market.

Hi Crystal, I made a pumpkin pie from scratch with some friends back in the 1980’s! Never again! It was a lot of work and to me it didn’t taste as good as the canned pumpkin purée. I am all for the easy way to make it. This year I am seriously thinking of buying a frozen Oumpkin Pie. For Thanksgiving I make a pumpkin cheesecake pie and it’s delicious. That recipe is on the Keebler ready made crust. That crock pot recipes wonderful.

As for the pumpkin pie from scratch...it is time consuming and tedious, at least I thought so. Did it once and decided from scratch now includes canned pumpking! Good luck and hope you have a better experience.

Tell you what about stuffed peppers. I finally decided to just make the stuffing and eat it out of a bowl. I put some chopped bell pepper in them, but don't really like eating a whole bell pepper or two stuffed. So I used ground beef, onions, peppers, corn, chopped canned tomatoes, black beans and brown rice (undrained.). Add in taco seasoning mix. Yum! I sprinkle shredded cheddar on top.

I’ve baked the pumpkin pie pumpkins but still prefer using canned pumpkin. It’s not as watery. Let us know how yours turns out-it may have been operator error on my end 😳😅

Love all the recipes - you can look it up yourself - but with the current cinnamon problems - consumer reports listed the Simply Organic brand as ok to use - but to limit usage to no more than 1/4 teaspoon a day per person. I think they list 6 brands that are completely safe to use - regarding lead levels. ♥

So if you have ever heard of the Pampered Chef pizza roll - the meat mixture for it makes a delicious stuffed pepper and you could make the pizza roll with the croissants for your kids. I add a couple pepperonis to mine. So delicious.

I tried making a pumpkin pie from scratch a few years ago and in my opinion it wasn’t worth it. After you bake the pumpkin and blend it up it ends up tasting identical to the canned pumpkin. But I liked being able to say I made a pumpkin pie from scratch but probably won’t do it again as there’s not a taste difference.

KZbinrs are getting ridiculous with the decorating, yes decorating! I don’t mind seeing it in the store and actually buying something but I just started decorating for fall/ Halloween! We love every holiday and Halloween is a big one for us! They just jump to the next holiday while we’re enjoying fall! Anyways I have 20 mums which are mostly the bronze orange and they are out with cornstalks, hay bales and scarecrows and Ive started adding my Halloween decor to the fall! I never understood why people take down fall when the heart of fall is Halloween! Best time and weather of the year and the slower it goes the better! Let’s enjoy it without rushing it! Happy all the fall things!! 🎃🍁👻🍁

To be honest, the apple dish looked raw. It had flour in crumb topping. Also, I would have used a bowl for easy distribution of the ingredients, especially the corn starch. Everything apple.
