No, no Liz don't think most of us are thinking "negative" about the "notes" to yourself. I learn so much from you and your feedback and ideas are so helpful. (especially the fit) Cheers!

I like all your “notes to self”. I do the same whenever I finish a sweater. I really wish I liked knitting garments more than once. I feel like I’m still trying to figure out my magic numbers for each sweater style (eg: raglan, drop shoulder, set-in sleeve, round yoke, etc.). Then there’s the fact that my style changes as I age. I don’t think it comes across as negative or overly critical.

So fun to see all your progress. I have never knit a single stitch, but I would love to have a sock video to try and learn. I don’t think I would dare try a sweater until I had confirmed I could knit a sock, or maybe a hat 😂😂

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park would be a perfect destination. You would be a few minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park where you could walk in the snow. Estes has a beautiful yarn and fabric store downtown. Lily Lake in Estes Park is also a beautiful area to walk. Colorado Cross Stitch is in Fort Collins about an hour from Estes Park. Estes Park would be about 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive from the airport in Denver.

Yes please, do a video for a beginning sweater maker. I have no idea what gauge is, swatching, how to pick up stitches if you accidentally drop them … and the list goes on. I want to teach myself this winter. So many terms I don’t understand. If you have any specific videos that helped you, please mention them! Thank you

Love all the knitting, Liz. I'm with you on knitting with fun colors... and yet I wear "quieter " colors. I have a gorgeous cashmere hot pink/coral shawl I made. I adore looking at it and touching it. But it feels so loud to wear! LOL

I would plan the exact same ski vacation! I might add a horse drawn sleigh ride. Have you ever tried Stephen Wests Weavin Stephen method of weaving in ends as you go? Always love seeing what you’re up to! Especially love hearing your pros and cons of each project. It’s a good way for others to grow their skills!

I love to hear what you would do differently when you finish a project, sometimes I wouldn’t notice the aspects you describe if you didn’t point them out…I don’t see it as being negative, more realistic…much better than portrayal of perfection all the tome….makes the rest of us feel inadequate! ❤Yes please to a hold your hand sweater make a long I used to knit garments in the 80’s but have never knit top down or on circulars/ in the round…I knit one pair of socks each year using a different technique…on my third pair using 9” circulars! Love all your crafts and presentations…about to make some project bags using your tutorial….would you mind showing us please how you store stitch markers and progress markers? Thanks!❤

Ooh not a new knitter, but I have a recommendation for your sweater series. I would recommend either the Flax or the Harvest by Tin Can Knits. They are both free, well-written simple patterns (and I’ve actually knit both more than once). But the extra wonderful thing is that they’re designed for baby to adult, so someone could follow along with the baby size, if an adult garment was too overwhelming for a new knitter. I think you’d be an excellent teacher!

I'm 70 years old and I LOVE Uncrustables! Grape jelly only, please. My youngest was in middle school when Uncrustables were first in the grocery stores, 1999, and I've been buying a couple of boxes a month ever since. Why are they so much better than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich you make yourself? Don't know, but they are.

Good video, love to see your knitting. On the shawl, you could just weave in 5 or 6 ends every time you knit on it. It would only take a minute or so and would get rid of at least some of the ends as you go.

Dear Elizabeth, you need no knitting notes...they are all so fun and lovely. However, you do require travel notes. Please check out cross country skiing. So MUCH easier than snow shoeing. If you can walk, you can cross country ski. And it is fun and you get to wear the cute snow clothing without the stomping boots and padded pants. You can rent the skiis as well. You can do it in one of your lovely sweaters and your hat. No helmet. :)
