this channel is the dream, i have encountered my first 2 muskies so far this summer that have both gotten off, the second one was the first ever fish i came across on my new kayak at my local forest preserve lake and was such a thrilling experience, i can't wait to finally land one of these big fish

I recently fished the same cold front and got my butt kicked! Had some lazy follows and caught some pike and bass. You guy's had some real success at least. I felt your pain on that first one. Sometimes I think I have to lose 10 or 15 just to land a fish... 😂

I am primarily a kayak bass angler but since the fall turnover happened at my local lake it's as if the bass turned off and the muskie's turned on! I've never caught a musky in my life till about a month ago,since then I've caught five monster musky! One was 48 inches! They're way to huge to land on my tiny kayak,I've gotta paddle to shore before I can even unhook them!

Like you guys said, that cold front didn't go as planned for me either. Got back out today for a few hours after the warm up these last few days. A few followers showed up, but were still lazy or cautious. The 6/9 Boilermaker and the Ninja had them coming in for a sniff, but they were being Muskies today. Hope they're dumber this weekend 😉
