Firstly, please just watch it for fun! Dont need to fight with each other, this is just a game. I respect every people/nation from all over the world and trying to do these videos neutral as much as I can do.

Historical sources... Michael Critobulus, George Sphrantzes those guys were in the city during the siege on the Byzantine side. The last confirmed sighting of Constantine was near the Gate of St. Romanus, where a huge battle was going on just after the Ottoman troops had surged into the city through another smaller gate called the Kerkoporta (the Circus Gate). Constantine reportedly leaped right into the fray, brandishing his sword, fighting side by side with common soldiers. The odds were hopeless. The Byzantine defenders were grossly outnumbered and had already endured 55 days of withering siege before the final Turkish assault. Thus, Constantine sought to die fighting. But what exactly happened to him and his corpse is the subject of dispute. However I'm almost certain that he died there...

In a way Ottomans saved Orthodox Christianity by protecting there religion, the Orthodox patriarch remains in the city today, the people stayed in the city nobody's property was touched and the people paid lower tax to the Ottomans.

Yes Longo and his men were stationed in the harbor and unfortunately lost 200 men in a failed ambush while the Italian mercenaries of Giovanni Giustiniani and the remaining Roman/Byzantine soldiers held the front gates and walls and they fell back after 4 hours of Ottoman waves of attacks

I have a question. Do your replays crash? and if so how do you get around it? My 1212 ad replays for some reason keep crashing to desktop and its the only problem I actually have with the mod but it's so frustrating. Especially when I want to watch a replay from one of my best battles.

You know the Ottomans never managed to get their one siege tower to the walls because the defenders managed to set it on fire/blow it up right? Also, I don't know if this is the game's fault, but there's only one wall while it should be three-layered. Furthermore, the Ottoman force in your vid seems pretty elite and well-armoured while in reality the biggest part of it were lightly armed irregulars. The camerawork though and everything else is of the quality I expected, good job as always fam

What a baseless comment. Biggest part of the Ottoman army wasn't consisted of irregulars, Sipahis were the biggest component of the Ottoman armies and they were medium to heavy armoured. The lightest troops were Azabs and Akinjis and for sure they were far from being majority. Besides, not every soldier was participated in siege battles, only those who were fit for such assaults were participated.

Good work with impressive visuals! Even Netflix series on the subject did not contain visuals of this quality and detail. Varna and Chaldiran Battles were better. Because this is an important subject, I think Siege of Constantinople deserves more historical accuracy and attention to details. In reality, there never were towers landing troops on the walls. Both siege towers were set on fire by the Byzantines before they were of much use. They never landed troops on the walls as they were intended to serve as the high grounds from which archers can do their work. Turkish ships - built by Mehmet in a hurry - did not have sails. The big guns were not of uniform size. I think you have to put much real-time explanations to these videos, maybe as closed captions. I think nobody on KZbin achieves the visuals you have. You can get these videos licensed by companies and get what you rightfully deserve. The only one getting close to your work is the Soviet Storm documentary series.

@@berkaykoymen9833 I think Netflix series was not bad at all, but missed important details. The biggest mistake was Akşemseddin whose role was critical. He was motivating Mehmet for a decade to conquer the city and shook him off his despair for the final assault. He was as important as Çandarlı Halil. I think one can make this animation into a commercial success only by correcting minor issues
