I really enjoyed this video. It has saved me so much time rather than trawling through the internet searching for suitable patterns. Thank you!

Loved this. I have knit a Gaspard and Leontine “dupe”. I love that this way I get great high quality fibres. Sezanes fibres are a bit itchy sometimes, so this is a great solution for me.
@nestledinknits3 ай бұрын
Aw those are great, I’ve been wanting to knit them for a while too! Exactly, knitting them means you can choose the fibres to your liking 🥰

@nestledinknits the cardi sweater is #1! New to sweater knitting so I'm wondering if I could sub the silk/mohair with suri alpaca/silk cuz it's just so beautiful 😍 🥹🥹🥹 also didn't realize I wanted a wool skirt so I also want to try that nova skirt pattern! All of the designs you picked are superb and now I'm really inspired to make them all to level up my knitting skills!
@nestledinknits3 ай бұрын
I'm sure you could! You can swatch to make sure, but it'd be so good😍 The nova skirt is really cute, didn't think I'd love a wool skirt so much either haha! Thank you ♥️

I've been waiting for someone to make this kind of video! Nice work and thank you for sharing! I have 2 Leontine sweaters (different colors) and I really love them. I got them before I started knitting but they really are great quality for the cost, I think. I have had my eye on that portobello dupe! Never seen this Sea point sweater and I totally agree, it is a dead ringer for the Leontine! I'd love to knit one of these patterns someday. Also, I think a good dupe for the Basile is also the Agnete cardigan by Petiteknit. The sleeves are a bit different though. I've always wanted to make this, but I've never tried Brioche and I'd like to practice on a smaller brioche project before I take on a cardigan. Actually I was willing to buy the Sezane Basile but when I tried it on the fiber really irritated my lungs/skin. --oh well! just an excuse to knit one in my own fiber ;)
@nestledinknits3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much 🥰 I've been eyeing the Léontine for a long time, but now that I knit, I feel like it would be cheating if I bought it lol Yeah the Agnete is a good dupe too, don't know why I didn't think of it! Brioche can definitely be a bit hard (not the stitch itself, but because it's hard to ladder back down!) but hopefully one day you'll be able to make your own Basile 🥰

Great video..I've had the Cardi sweater and the Saguaro in my Ravelry queue exactly because I've been so teased by the Sézane ads every time I'm on pinterest. There's actually a few more candidates for dupes on my mind and I'm curious to see which ones you'll pick next time. For the Leontine there's actually a free pattern by Isabell Kraemer called Driftwood which could match quite well if you change the stripes.
@christianekahl23133 ай бұрын
And for the Basile an alternative could also be the Seasons Cardigan by Ozetta.
@nestledinknits3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah those ads really get us, though since we're knitting it's not in the way they think 😂 Let me know next time if I picked the ones you were thinking of! Compiling a new list now 🥰 Oh yeah if you made the stripes smaller it'd definitely be a good match!

Aretha sweater, looks like the back of a pattern ive been working from for a while now where you have knit stitches & a purl through the back loop, then go back to knitting, if you purl through the back loop in the same spot for example its like a raised line on the back. Just random thoughts. Weird / maybe not a weird coincidence lol
@nestledinknits3 ай бұрын
I think that's probably the technique used yes! That looks really cute and it isn't too difficult of a technique so it's great 😊
