Fall Salmon Fishing in the PNW - DIME Bright Beautiful Fish! (EXCLUSIVE River!)

I was lucky enough to meet up with Donnie and Nate up on the Quinault Indian Reservation for a great opportunity to catch some beautiful Chinook Salmon!
The result was this awesome day out on multiple rivers where we banked a couple BRIGHT salmon and hook into one MONSTER!

Quick question: I thought we were not allowed to keep wild salmon? I am new to salmon fishing and need some feedback!

It depends on the river system. Always be sure to check the regs for the river system you're fishing on as well as any emergency regs the day you go out. WA regs: wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations They are notoriously confusing, unfortunately :( You can also use the "Fish Washington" app to see regs, but the reg pamphlet is king when it comes to differences or questions.

That's one way to think about it ;) I can't deny that I would have totally kept that fish if I landed it, though! haha Up on the reservation, scarcity is less of an issue, though.
